Guest Chuck Woolery Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Everybody knows about the big Triple H/Brock Lesnar match at Summerslam, correct? So, my question is this: What if the WWE is trying to appease us by having Brock lose at Summerslam... to Triple H? Discuss. - Mike Van Siclen.
Guest Anglesault Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 What Triple H/Brock Summerslam match?
Guest HartFan86 Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Uh, dude...it's Rock vs. Brock...
Guest Zack Malibu Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I think he means if they hotshot the title onto Hunter this coming week, which won't happen, since it'll screw up the Uber-push and the Great Comeback, respectively.
Guest DrTom Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I still think Rock's going to retain the belt at Summerslam. For some inexplicable reason, despite their long history of being pigheaded and sometimes downright stupid, I think WWE realizes that Brock isn't over enough to justify putting the belt on him. Rock retains, only to job to HHH the next night on Raw.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Rock retains, only to job to HHH the next night on Raw. But, then... we'd have two HHH-Rock matches in the past 3 weeks. Plus... I don't know. I still can see Rock wanting to have one last match with someone he 'respects' or something like that. *cue One Of A Kind*
Guest Chuck Woolery Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 My mistake... I meant the Trips/Rock match on Raw. - Mike Van Siclen.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 maybe itll be changed to Rock v HHH so we can get a heated match or whatver, but if HHH wins both main event matches im gonna vomit all over the place
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I think Rock retains at SS, Brock fires Heyman, Heyman debuts new protegee who feuds with Lesnar, and WWE gets it's head out of it's ass and let's RVD, Benoit, Guerrero, Angle, or Jericho take the strap.
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 they could always try for the half-hearted HBK at WM11 deal where Heyman costs Brock the title, Brock asks for a title shot without Heyman, and then gets punked out. Or they could do the right thing and have Brock demolish the Rock to send him back to Hollywood, something like Vader/Sting GAB 92
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 If that's the right thing...then I don't want to know what you consider wrong.
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 well.. I was also pushing for RVD beating Brock at Vengence and then challenging him after Summerslam. That was a piece in my puzzle for this.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 You're kidding yourself if you think it's going to be anything other than HBK/HHH, Rock/Brock at Summerslam. HHH/Rock will end with a Dusty finish and just throw to waste a good match. Rock won't lose clean unless it is non-title and HHH won't lose clean under any circumstances. There will more than likely be interference from Brock AND HBK to hard sell for the PPV.
Guest Anglesault Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 How about Heyman costs Brock the belt, Brock dumps Heyman, Rock loses the belt to Angle on SD!, Angle continues his feud with Rey over the world title, Rhyno returns somewhere around here as Heyman's new protege(He won't be able to wrestle right away, but he can do something) and Brock/Rhyno feud?
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I jokingly mentioned this as the plan in the Raw thread. HHH beats Rock Summerslam: HHH beats Brock HBK beats HHH HBK retires HHH gets the belt back Uh yeah
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I think HBK is winning at Summerslam. A face has to win one of the 2 main events. I won't go into how much it irks me that HHH will put over a friend who doesn't wrestle. Just think...if Nash hadn't been injured...HHH might have put him over. The asshole
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 HBK has to go over.. as a sentimental moment. Then again, we figured that Foley would go over HHH also. maybe HHH will beat HBK
Guest Just call me Dan Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 You would actually enjoy a Rhyno/Brock match but you go apeshit if Edge wrestles Angle?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I don't think he can for logistical purposes. In my world of common sense that even the WWE has to see... Jericho goes over Flair Benoit goes over RVD (cause the IC title isn't going to Raw again...unless they pull an awesome thing where Steph gets the IC champ no matter who it is...and RVD goes to SD!) Brock goes over Rock now...Taker will go over Test, and BookDust can win the tag titles...but those matches don't come close to making up for the heel route that would leave marks pissed if HHH went over HBK too.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Oh yeah...and Angle will go over Rey too. Too many heels...not enough faces.
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 BookDust is getting the tag belts so they can feud with the Samoans. Taker beats Test HHH/HBK is still up in the air, due to HHHlogic and all Brock beats Rock Angle beats Rey RVD beats Benoit (to make up for heels going over) that's how I see it
Guest Just call me Dan Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Angle may even lose this and hopefully be put into a big program (ala Jericho) after putting over enough talent.
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 oh yeah.. Flair beats Jericho. duh
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I want RVD to go on SD! now. I've decided that his time on RAW has run out. He's beaten everyone on the show that he's ever going too...and I think jobbing him out to them is a bad idea since he has never been jobbed out much at all...and therefore will be more beleivable to push later on. He should go to SD! and continue a feud with Benoit, then feud with Angle or whoever. There are some fine programs for RVD over there... but SD! is the land of the Edge push.
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 yeah.. RVD has yet to face D-Von, Batista, Mark Henry, Cena, Rico and Chuck on Smackdown!
Guest Just call me Dan Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 I'd be willing to bet RVD stays on Raw, and Kane ends up being on SD! You don't really need someone in need of a big push to be on Smackdown where Edge, Cena, Rey,Eddy,Benoit and even Angle are. Not to mention Kane. Their top-teir will need a lot of development and RVD doesn't needd to be in programs with them, he needs programs with Taker, HHH, Rock, etc. to get him over (yes, I said HHH)
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 um...he is over. That's the point. They have nothing for him to do because he accomplished everything they had planned for Edge in 30 seconds of a WWE career. He's been treading water since...bouncing back and forth without a direction longer than the next show. With the exception of the Eddy feud of course.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Taker ows him a job for sure...Rock would put him over no problem. But keep him away from HHH. HHH has a different idea of how to put people over.
Guest Anglesault Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Who the hell would Kane feud with on SD? You would actually enjoy a Rhyno/Brock match but you go apeshit if Edge wrestles Angle? Simple: Edge blows, Rhyno doesn't. I figure an actual good worker that can also do the power type brawling matches might b able to pull a match out of Brock. Rhyno might be able to find a way to fight Brock's style and make it look good
Guest Just call me Dan Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Ok so him feuding with guys like Eddy, Benoit, Edge,Cena,Rey,Angle and not to mention the Smackdown hosses would elevate him? I mean that he needs to be elevated more by being in a few TOP programs with the likes of those three so he can be atop the glass ceiling before moving on to Smackdown.
