Guest Karnage Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 Well if you don't work or go to school like I do, theres Daytime TV. What daytime shows do you all watch? I keep watching The View, but its only because I have a thing for Lisa Ling.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 13, 2002 Report Posted August 13, 2002 The only day time TV i watch is The Price Is Right, Young and the Restless, Days of our Lives and Passions. I hate all talk shows and always have.
Guest razazteca Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 comedy central all day until toonami starts or springer
Guest DerangedHermit Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 Get up at 11am. 11am: The Price is Right or Jerry Springer 12pm: CBS 2 News or Comedy Central SNL rerun 1pm: American Gladiators 2pm: Real TV
Guest MaxPower27 Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 I've always liked shows like "Judge Judy" and "Judge Joe Brown". I know that most of them are fake, but I find them entertaining to say the least. Price is Right is OK, but not something I religiously watch. I do like Family Feud, though. Comedy Central is good for SNL reruns during the day, but not much else. I watched "Don't forget a toothbrush" the other day and it was embarassingly horrible. Just unwatchable. I never liked daytime soaps, I like Boston Public, but that's at night.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 My daytime line-up: 11:00am: Home Improvement (FOX29) 11:30am: Cheers (FOX29) 12:00pm: Just flip around and check out the news... som Jenny Jones too 1:00pm: American Gladiators After that, nothing good is on TV after.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 You watch reruns of Home Improvement? Yikes...you poor poor man. What you can't find the remote?
Guest The Electrifyer Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 But... I like Home Improvement.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 But... I like Home Improvement. So do too. So, it's okay. Oh.. Daytime TV? I sometimes watch Days of Our Lives, and that's about it. I usually sleep until 1 P.M.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 Eh...well then continue to watch it at your expense. I actually liked the show for it's first 3 seasons, but then the show kinda got burned out and was just the same old same old every episode. The last 2 seasons were just totally dreadful. The show to me is one of those shows that while alright originally aren't that great when they start reruns.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 I sometimes watch daytime TV if I wake up early or in between classes. I think I was watching Passions today. It was something where a witch(?) was trying to drown some girl in her bathroom sink by somehow sticking her hands in her cauldron(?), which made it able for her hands to magically appear in the ladies bathroom sink which was full of water. I was like, "WTF?" Talk shows can be mildly entertaining and a slight ego boost. Every time I watch those, I am like, "Sure, my life kinda sucks, but at least I am not these people." I also loved how they practically have the same three show ideas for pretty much every show. Lately, they are all either "Take my teen to boot camp!", "Paternity tests," or "My friend/daughter/sister/whatever dresses like a guy and I want her to dress like a girl." A few years ago, it was "I was a nerd in high school, but look at me now!" and "Fat chicks who dress like they are skinny." I actually did watch Ricki Lake today, and, it was the "My friend/daughter/sister/whatever dresses like a guy and I want her to dress like a girl" topic. I especially loved the one girl who was there who is dressed like a completely skank ho, and she is mad because her best friend dresses too masculine, and demands that she starts dressing more feminine. I just found that whole thing to be strangely entertaing. Another thing I love about the show was the fact that they proceeded to dress the girls in the most uncomfortable clothes possible. I think, "You are trying to convince them to dress more feminine more regularly so you dress them in high heels and stuff. Brilliant." Most of the girls said that they were highly uncomfortable in the high heels and such and did not want to wear them. I am shocked. Either way, it was an entertaining end of the show because was that all I caught basically. Better than most stuff on at that time anyway.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 Yeah i'm pretty sure that was Passions. Unless Dark Shadows has made a return i believe it's the only soap that would have a witch. Passions is a fun and enjoyable show if you don't take it serious.
