Guest chirs3 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 but in some respects you must see that there's a word for what Debra comes off as, a Gold Digger. That's two words. And we don't know that, though it is a popular assumption. As far as Steve in jail? Good. Serves 'em right, and this gives Vince even less of a reason to bring him back. The chances he'll appear on my TV again have lowered significantly. Today is a good day.
Guest NazMistry Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Austin- you should've jobbed to Brock What makes that even more true is that Austin probably would have been Champion by now.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted August 14, 2002 I don't think Vince is gunna bring back an ex-convict that had this much publicity on his arrest. You know, you can find Booker T's police mug online. He was arrested years ago for a string of a number of fast food joints, including the Wendy's he was working at. Guest Gary Busey Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Back when I had a subscription to the Torch a few months ago, when Austin originally walked, they had a large article detailing the facts as they knew them. Apparently the problems between Steve and Debra began many months before. Austin had been wanting to retire from wrestling and start a family for a long time, but Debra "refused" to allow it- she threatened to leave him if he hung up his boots because Stone Cold was her meal ticket to fame and fortune. She apparently won't have kids because she believes she is too young and will lose her "fabulous" body. She had also been overly flirtaous (sp) with other wrestlers backstage. That's why Austin was lazy in the ring for so long: his body was broken down but he couldn't quit because his wife would leave him, so he began to hate the squared circle. I'm not sticking up for his actions, but it's just a little more of the backstory.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Just for the record, from 1wrestling... The San Antonio Express News has also posted a story on the arrest today of Steve Austin. The only new items from the story are as follows. Austin turned himself into authorities today. He came to the court house with his lawyers. He was charged with an assault that caused a bodily injury, was booked and fingerprinted before posting his bond. A judge signed off on the arrest warrant on Monday after he read the police report and a complaint filed by Austin's wife Debra. It appears that the district attorney's office pursued the case on their own. Click here for the entire story. ...so Debra did not pursue it, they pursued it on their own, ast this states. Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Even if Debra is a golddigger, it is absolutely no excuse to hit a woman, especially one you are twice the size as. It's inexcusable. He needs to clear this shit up and clean up his life. But if the book is thrown at him, he deserves every bit of it. You just don't hit women.

Guest Grenouille Report post Posted August 14, 2002 this is a work. I wish it was. Pretty elaborate though it were. Crap like this and the current product make my wallet smaller and smaller with every puro tape I buy, which in a way is very good.
Guest Downhome Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Sheesh, I can imagine reports of Ausin commiting suicide (God forbid mind you), and people STILL comeing out and saying "it's a work, I just KNOW it!".

Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 If it was a work you would have to think damn. The entire media in on an elaborate work created by Vince and Austin to get ratings. But come on...living in this hotter than hell state, we do get regional media such as San Antonio coverage. Hell our news station here in Houston followed him in the helicopers the first time. Steve is on a downward spiral and who knows exactly where the spiral will end. But I take no pity on him. I know women, my boss for one, that was abused time and time again. No women deserves that, no matter what the case may be.
Guest LaParkaMarka Report post Posted August 14, 2002 "I have no sympathy for him what so ever. The bastard deserves it " My feelings the same as regards to this particular incident. I feel bad because I like to see him in wrestling, but as far as beating your wife, that is uncalled for. Whatever his punishment is, whether it's just a fine or time in jail, he deserves it. There is no reason for a 240 ib man to hit a 110 ib woman. Not one reason. Sure there is. If the 110 lb woman was about to shoot 240lb man in the face, I think he's slightly justified in hitting her. Or would you rather die then hit a woman?

Guest jester Report post Posted August 14, 2002 What took that old bitch two months to file charges? It said that the DA's office filed charges on their own. "That old bitch" didn't file charges. In some places the legal system will actually go ahead with an arrest or prosecution on its own, because the women recant their stories so often in domestic abuse. Don't bet on Austin never being back because of this. He could still be acquitted, and Snuka had a potential murder rap in his career and he still wrestled.
