They wrote this shit. *puts foot thru TV*
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Just imagine if Angle lost what would AS do. And they have to protect Rikishi with his big match at SS and all. It isn't like Brock is going to be doing anything special at the PPV.

Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Hey.. it's the truth. Brock gets incredible reactions for a guy who has been mishandled constantly. A Monster heel who had to get help from Heyman to beat Shaneo-Mac's Cabana Boy Test, JR's boy Bubba Dudley and others. The WWE has never been able to book a monster heel correctly. No, Kane doesn't count. He wrestled 4 times in about 6 months during his height

Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 granted.. they haven't let Brock show us his skills yet. One Shooting Star Press and he will impress the world. So, of course the dumbass WWE men tell him to just do generic power shit

Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 AS: consider the circumstances.. Brock has not been allowed any sort of real character. Characters sell tickets, not gimmicks. Angle showed a character, I've been a fan of his since his debut. I'm sure Brock has a personality of his own, it's just that the writers aren't really doing much. Stephanie sucks as a writer, she can't even make herself a good face against BISCHOFF (the least likeable guy around). Gerwitz doodles in DC comics backstage. Heyman is trying to hog Brock's heat. Imagine if Brock goes cleanly over Test, RVD, Bubba, Booker, and so on. Imagine if they let him have a CHARACTER. Imagine if he kept the TKO finish. Then he might have more heat. What he has now is great, considering the circumstances of his booking. Brock could try and grow some facial hair too.. that might help.

I did say Lesnar shoulda squashed him like a cockroach at least once, in a match. Hmmm, understandable. But I dont think squashing Buh Buh would do anything. I thought the prefect way, was the way they did it before. With Buh Buh getting some offence, but Lesnar getting the most offence.

Hey, as far as I'm concerned, the first meeting between Brock and Bubba--not to be confused with their KotR qualifying match--was Brock's best to date. Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Brock is going to be hard to develop a character for because his voice sounds weird for one. When he was talking to Angle about SD being his show you see this jacked up body with a babyface and a weird voice means I can't take him seriously. And if he can't talk it will be hard to develop angles without a manager which stunts character development. It also doesn't help when his second promo consisted of "Hulk..:pants:...Hogan..:wheezes:....I hope you win...:falls over in exhaustion:" Everyone I talked to said that that moment had them laughing out loud which I don't think they were shooting for. Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 BH4E: Yeah.. Angle avoided Mark Henry's bearhug. as for Brock's voice.. Mike Tyson has a weird voice also.. that didn't hinder his character. (Although the fact that he's a whackjob did)
Guest LexLugerRules Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Edge starts the match and gives Chavo a flapjack. Edge knocks Chavo out of the ring onto Eddie. Eddie is tagged in and takes the fight to Edge and Eddie distracts the ref and chokes Edge on the ropes. Rey gets tagged in and gives Eddie 10 shots in the corner but Chavo drills Rey in the back to allow Eddie to powerbomb Rey. Chavo gives Rey a side suplex and another one. Eddie comes in over the rope with his spinning role. Rey comes back with a heel kick to Chavo's face and trys for a tag to Edge but Eddie puts a stop to it. Eddie counters a huracanranna attempt on himself by Rey but wasn't successful on the next attempt. Edge is tagged in and monkey-flips Eddie out of the corner. Eddie hits a brainbuster suplex on Edge. Eddie goes to the top rope but Rey knocks him off. As Rey gets back in the ring, he hits the 6:19 middle ropes kick and is ready for the springboard sunsetflip but Kurt Angle comes in outta nowhere and puts Rey in the ankle lock and this causes a DQ. Angle punishes Rey until Edge breaks it up. Edge knocks off Chavo but Eddie attacks Edge from behind but gets a Spear for his trouble. Rey climbs in the ring and get the ankle lock applied on himself again and Chavo dropkicks Rey in the face. Edge Spears Chavo, Angle attempts an Olympic Slam on Edge but counters it and Spears Angle. Winners VIA DQ - Rey Mysterio, Edge
