Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Lesnar wouldn't deserve it...I'm sorry but no. Angle was the #1 heel at the time he won it. HHH, Rock, Taker and Jericho were all faces... And Angle and Benoit were heels. At No Mercy when he won the title...Angle was the best guy to hold the title. The same can not be said for Brock. I'm sorry...but it can't. Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 i'm sure that Brock having one good match in 5 months while Luger had 7 in 7 years is skin off my back. Brock's on pace to shatter that mark.
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Hey, I gave that Bubba match **1/2, too. Were they given a few more minutes to build on, I might've gave it three. The near falls in it were great; I truly thought Bubba had a chance in beating Lesnar.

Luger has had tons of good matches. Sure he sucked shit his last few years but he was also involved in the greatest tag team match ever w/ Sting v. The Steiners. And another thing- Luger was OVER
Guest LexLugerRules Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Like I said Angle should of gotten the title, it was a good idea, but he hasen paid his dues. I'm not saying its as a bad thing, or he should of. I'm just saying he didnt. And Robby, I'm sure if you put Luger in his prime againest the oppenets Lesnar had, he would atleast drag a decent match with them. Espically RVD, and The Hardyz where Luger would sell his ass off for them.

I wouldn't really be trumpeting Brock having one decent match. Also I don't get why you are arguing that Brock is going to have more good matches than Luger who you consider to be a piece of crap. So your basic arguement is that Brock is better than crap?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 I have two criteria to win the world title. 1. Have had a *** match. 2. Be over Brock fails to qualify my lofty standards. I don't think paying dues means jobbing to everyone...I think someone pays their dues by getting over in a their role...which is not as a title contender...then gets moved up. I think that Edge and RVD have paid there dues...despite rarely jobbing...because they have spent time over enough to be higher on the card. Jobbing people out doesn't help anyone. An unwarranted push to the top in a few months doesn't either.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Brock is better than crap. anyways, Brock having one good match in 5 months with the "WWF Style" isn't that bad. Most WWF stars don't even have one good match in a year. If Brock was allowed to unleash his offense, he could perform a few more good matches easily. "Espically RVD, and The Hardyz where Luger would sell his ass off for them. " You mean 'sell' or yell in pain? "OW! MY ARM!" always seemed unintentionally funny. I'm sure that Lesnar against the guys Luger faced would do well also. Lesnar v. a prime Scott Steiner would be just provoking an asskicking. and in the '7 in 7' comment, I didn't count the Sting/Luger-Steiners match since it was a tag match and because it's not hard to have a good match with Scott Steiner. anyways.. whatever

I doubt Lesnar could have great matches with Nitka Koloff or Dan Spivey. Maybe The Steiners, Flair, Steamboat, and Sting could carry Lesnar to ***. And have you ever seen anyway of Luger's NWA work? Go watch Great american Bash 1989, with Luger did and WICKED job of selling with Steamboat.
Guest LexLugerRules Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Oh and to break this Luger Vs. Lesnar tention... ROCK VS. BENOIT Champion vs. Champion. Neither title on the line though. As The Rock is stancing the crowd, a massive banner of The Rock vs. Triple H match on RAW with a RAW insignia and Bischoff's face on it passes through the arena and is noticed by The Rock, Tazz and Michael Cole. Both men stare down, they lock up with Benoit getting an armlock in on The Rock's left arm and then coverts it into a side headlock. The Rock delivers a pair of armdrag takedowns on Benoit and goes after his left shoulder. The Rock holds onto Benoit in a reverse headlock. Benoit does a leapfrog but Rock holds back and clothesline's him down. Rock misses another clothesline and gets a back suplex on his head. Benoit clotheslines The Rock again. Benoit kicks and punches away at The Rock in the corner and followsup with a backbreaker, 2 count only. Benoit chops away on Rock from corner to corner, but misses the 4th one and Rock fires back with punches. Rock hits a belly-to-belly overhead suplex on Benoit for a 2 count. Rock punches away at Benoit, then Benoit comes back with 5 back-to-back suplexes but The Rock kicked out before 3. Benoit covered Rock again but only a 2 count. Benoit locks in the armbar on Rock but Rock fires back in Benoit's gut and Rock followsup with a kick to the gut and straight into the DDT. Rock covers Benoit but only a 2 count. Both men get back to their feet and both men exchange chops, Rock almost got in a Rock Bottom but Benoit counters with a DDT. Benoit climbs to the top rope and successfully connects with the headbunt, 2 count only. Both men are down and get to their feet at a 9 count. Rock fires back with right hands and a leg takedown into a Sharpshooter. Benoit makes it to the ropes, Rock gets an elbow to the job and then flops back up. The Rock gives Benoit the Spinebuster. Brock Lesnar comes down and as Rock was about to give Benoit the People's Elbow, Rock goes outside the ring and both Brock and The Rock are face to face. Benoit locks in the Crippler Crossface and Brock stares in enjoyment while Rock is staring at him. Moments later the Rock fades and comes straight back and gets to the ropes. Benoit tries an irish-whip to The Rock but Rock counters with a Rock Bottom and the 1-2-3. After the match, Rock tells Brock to Just Bring It!!. Brock just remains outside and both men continue to exchange eye contact. Rock had a slight bloody nose. Winner VIA Pinfall - The Rock Off-Air.. The Rock is still in the ring staring at the entrance way with caution but moves around a bit trying to regain composure from the Crossfaces. The Rock asks for a microphone and gets once. The crowd begins chanting Rocky!!. Rock says he's been there for 4 days and tells Brock Lesnar that he doesn't feel like leaving Seattle. The Rock then tells Brock Lesnar to Just Bring It!, BITCH!!. Brock comes back out running and both men exchange punches until Brock delivers a clothesline and a belly-to-belly suplex. Rock climbs back to his feet and was about to get F-5'd but Rock countered it and punches back and delvers two Rock Bottom's in 5 seconds to Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar flee's up the ramp while still exchanging eye contact with The Rock. Rock the looks at the people and climbs the second ropes and throws the title over his head like he usually does and eventually leaves.

Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Brock got a heel-turn-by-the-numbers push... The Hardyz don't get heels over. Ric Flair does not get heels over (any more). Rikishi does not get heels over. Spike Dudley and Bubba Ray do not get heels over. This was already tried with the Undertaker and it failed miserably; I have no idea why they tried it with Brock. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted August 14, 2002 For the last time. Taker doesn't get anyone over. Never has. I was referring to the Taker heel turn. He beat up the Hardyz, RVD, Ric Flair, Spike Dudley, JR, and the crowd still cheered him. The Wwf should have learned.
