Guest Black Tiger Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I was too young to be much of a fan in their "glory days", I knew of them, but didn't think much until I saw the November Rain video when I was about nine years old, but hearing them on the radio nowadays is fine with me. Would I be better off getting both Use Your Illusion CD's or getting the Use Your Illusion comp CD. Don't tell me to get Appetite For Destruction, I already intend to.
Guest redbaron51 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 GNR does a pretty good cover of Live and Let Die, but the best GNR song is Paradise City
Guest areacode212 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 There's a Use Your Illusion comp CD? Just get the two separate ones. Rocket Queen should have been one of the choices, but I voted for Jungle.
Guest pochorenella Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 For me is a toss-up between Jungle and November Rain, but I'm voting for Jungle for the moment. BTW, I didn't know there was an Use Your Illusion comp CD. Just try to spend a little more and get both of 'em. And get Appetite For Destruction NOW!
Guest Shaved Bear Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 i voted for paradise city, i dunno its just the most fun to listen to
Guest redbaron51 Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 i've seen a compliation of Use Your Illusions... might as well buy that since both UYI 1 and UYI 2 are mostly fillers
Guest swan Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 Mine are a toss up between "Night Train" and "Mr. Brownstone".
Guest Black Tiger Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 AFD just went Diamond (15 million) a few years ago. The UYI Comp came out in 1998, when there was all the press about Slash leaving and the Chinese Democracy Album, its a CD with the better songs off of UYI 1 and UYI 2.
Guest Flyboy Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 This is off-topic, but... Black Tiger when is your next puro review coming?
Guest DrTom Posted August 14, 2002 Report Posted August 14, 2002 I voted for "Jungle" The UYI albums are very good, but "Appetite For Destruction" is still orders of magnitude better, and I'd take the good songs off that over the great ones of UYI1 or 2 anyday.
Guest nWoScorpion Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 I voted for Sweet Child o' Mine because everyone "posting" hasn't mentioned it and it's gpot a cool beat to it. lol
Guest mesepher Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 I would vote for OTHER but it's not listed... I can't really say which out of those songs is my favorite. I remember seeing the UYI comp disk at Wal Mart a few years back, and I always thought it was the censored version specially made for Sammy. I'd say November Rain actually though... those solos are classic stuff, and pretty hard as well.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted August 15, 2002 Report Posted August 15, 2002 P. City -- Don't know why, I like them all.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 I always liked "Sweet Child O' Mine"... not to take anything away from "November Rain" of course.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 My favorite is probably Mr. Brownstone, but the best out of those listed would have to be November Rain.
Guest GeneMean Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Rocket Queen Nighttrain Locomotive
Guest The Man in Blak Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 I probably like "Paradise City" the best out of all of 'em (that is quite a riff), but I voted for "Sweet Child O' Mine"...simply because it's a damn solid song, from top to bottom.
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Go November Rain! Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Coma would be my choice. But I voted for November Rain because I can't vote against Slash's guitar work there...or the awesome ending of the song.
Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 I might be flamed for this but Estranged is my favorite Guns N' Roses song. Although it's Sweet Child O' Mine from the ones listed.
Guest hardyz1 Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 La Parka Es Mi Papa: I agree with you, Estranged is number 1. 1. Estranged 2. November Rain 3. Civil War
Guest Black Lushus Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Im all about: Dust N Bones Locomotive Pretty Tied Up You Could Be Mine Perfect Crime
Guest Ozymandias Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 One In A Million *Diamond is 10 million copies sold
