Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Last night at the WWE Smackdown tapings in Seattle, it was announced that Wrestlemania X9 would be in Seattle in 2003. No venue was announced at this time. WWE was testing out Seattle this week with back to back Raw and Smackdown tapings to see how the city would draw and react. Obviously they were pleased with Seattle. credit: PWTorch.com
Guest Brian Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Wrong. They did not announce it officially yet. As of now they're still in negotiation. And venue will be SafeCo field, as it's the only venue really big enough.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Some dude announced it and then Tony Chimel had to correct him
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted August 14, 2002 I have a feeling that WM 20 will be at the Garden. If I can get tickets, I'm there.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 14, 2002 WMXX has to be at The Garden and if I can get tickets- I'm there
Guest Chuck Woolery Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Hell, why don't we all pool our money and buy a fuckin' section for WMXX at the Garden? We can hang a big sign and call ourselves "Smart Marks Section 319" and talk about how horrid the workrate in the Triple H/Goldberg main event will be while holding up signs that say "ROB VAN DAM SHOULDN'T BE FIGHTING KURT ANGLE FOR THE HARDCORE TITLE." Pessimism rules. - Mike Van Siclen.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted August 14, 2002 It would be RVD/Kurt Angle for the Cruiser title. They both qualify.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted August 14, 2002 I'm up for the Smart Marks section We can launch sharp, metal objects at HHH, Hogan, Brock, Billy Gunn, etc.

Guest Chuck Woolery Report post Posted August 14, 2002 You're right... Regal will face Goldust on HeAT in the main event. That, or he'll go back to his usual position of jobbing the IC title in the first match of the show. - Mike Van Siclen.

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 14, 2002 He should be Taker's last match-- They stare down, Cena does THE GAY SLAP OF DEATH, Taker flinches and shakes his head and then boom- Last Ride and 5 tombstones.
Guest SlowChemical6 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Somebody needs to tell Cena that he is NOT funny. He's trying to be the next babyface Y2J or Rock and it is bombing.

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 Actually, a SmartMarks section would be fucking mint. I'm going to try to go to a WrestleMania LIVE one of these years...hopefully WM19 won't be like WM18 or...**gulp**...WM13.
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted August 14, 2002 I'm going to be trying to get tickets to Wrestlemania 19 since I live in Calgary, and Seattle isn't too far from Calgary. Oh, and the main event for Wrestlemania 19 will be Lesnar© vs. RVD for the WWE Undisputed Title.
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted August 14, 2002 I am going to try to get tickets...I live in Vancouver, so its a pretty short drive to Seattle.

Guest chirs3 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 How far in advance do Wrestlemania tickets go on sale? And what do I have to do to get ringside? I live in Northern Utah - that's kinda close... right? Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 14, 2002 If they do go Seattle...and I think they will... RVD was insanely over on RAW monday... so if they do the right thing and put RVD over for the belt at Mania... cause a face should win...and any other face is either not as over...or Rock and Hogan...which would be shitty... The crowd won't be dead like they were when HHH won at Mania this year.
Guest candie45 Report post Posted August 15, 2002 Don't worry, folks. Wrestlemania 19 should be a good one if we follow the pattern. The great 'Manias followed the sucky ones. Unfortunately, my Wrestlemania happened to be a sucky one (on TV at least). It was simply awesome being there but it would have been the most awesome awesome if it was a great WM. Anyway, ringside tickets are pretty easy to get on Ebay, if you are willing to pay the price. I found tons of great seats on there. And if they sell out quickly, more than likely more seats will go onsale on Ticketmaster. The face value for the ringisde 'keep the chair' tickets was $615 or something like that per ticket. How many does the Safeco hold?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted August 15, 2002 My plan for Wrestlemania Main Event. RVD over Kurt Angle © How to get there. Rock beats the heatless wonder at Summerslam, but drops the belt over to Angle the following SD!. RVD loses the IC title match, but defects to SD. Over the course of the next several months, RVD and Angle cross each others paths multiple times. Both go on a tear, Angle beating Booker at Unforgiven, Edge at Survivor Series (After Edge and RVD beat Benoit and Angle and No Mercy) Misterio at Armageddon and Benoit at Royal Rumble. RVD beats Eddy at Unforgiven, wins the tag match at No Mercy, beats Brock at Survivor Series, and Benoit at Armageddon after botched Angle-ference. He goes on to win the Royal Rumble, last defeating Triple H. He is punked out by Angle after the match. At No Way Out, RVD beats HHH clean in a match with the Mania stip on the line, And Angle beats Kane clean with the ankle lock in the world title match. Have Angle and RVD be totally evenly matched leading up to Mania, where RVD wins when He reverses Angle's top rope Angle Slam into a ***** Star Splash. Then begin to sow the seeds for Angle's face turn.

But if you want RVD to win the Rumble over HHH, my best bet as to what would happen is Angle comes down to botch it for RVD, mistakenly nails HHH or something like that, RVD throws HHH out, and HHH demands a match at no way out, and we all pray to holy heaven that Angle goes over and the WWE does something right....
