As there ever been a movie set in prison where the star wasn't either wrongfully accused, or acted in self-defense?

For a lot of American History X, Edward Norton is in prison and justifiably so.

Edward Norton's character deserved his jail time in American History X.

TECHNICALLY...Death Warrant. Van Damme played a cop that went undercover as an "armed bank robber" into a prison where corruption was believed to exist, to not only catch a criminal believed to be hiding amongst the guards, but catch the guards in the act of corruption.

The Last Castle

Robert Redford's character is an army general who blatantly defies a presidential order, resulting in multiple deaths.
