I've found a lot of trial version software, but I'm poor and wouldn't want to pay even if I had money. If someone could just point me in the direction of something, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I reccomend dbPowerAmp from here although don't get that Power Pack Release or it will start bugging you. PowerAmp can open almost anything though it seems like. I use it to extract audio from Windows Media files even, and I can't get even VirtualDub to do that right.
