The Honky Tonk Man is back in the news, once again with another hard hitting controversial commentary. Below is an excerpt from the commentary, entitled "Oh Brother, God Told Me To Do It":

 

"There have been times when I have heard something and I said to myself or to anyone who would listen, "Damn, I've heard everything now." Low and behold when you say that, some other shit will fly out of somebody's and that will be the damnedest thing I've ever heard. Everyone has to believe in something, no matter what Jesse the Body says about religious cults (I mean groups), but believing these wrestlers' sad ass testimonials is too far fetched for this old Baptist boy.

 

I ran across an article written for the "Million Dollar Man" Dibiase's web page. I was so caught up in the bullshit, I ended up reading this crap for an hour. There was the Road Warriors being baptized by Dibiase. There was interviews from all sorts of wrestlers. They all said the same Holy Bullshit.......The one that hit me in the balls the hardest was from none other than, the most egotistical, prick of an asshole, I have run across in many years (besides Bischoff). It was from the show stopper, the main event, the "I don't go down for or on anyone but McMahon." It was from HBK himself, Shawn Michaels.

 

Michaels said God told him to get back in the ring for one more match. God spoke to him while he was on the plane praying. God said go out there and do it I will be with you.......Speaking of Nash, Michaels says Nash and Hall are his best friends. Oh Brother where art thou? With friends like these f***s, you better have God in your hip pocket."

 

...does he not come off as bitter, and full of isues to you?

Usually I would agree that Honky Tonk is a bitter dude. Cause he is. But here he comes off as just someone who's fed up with Religious nuts.

I don't think he is so much bitter as he just tells it like it is, and doesnt sugar coat things, he has an opinion and he voices it. If you have seen his shoot interview its alot like that statement above. Some of the B.S. he put up with from guys like Lawler, McMahon, and Bischoff i would probably sound a little bitter too.

I hate it when people use the "I'm telling it like it is mantra" to excuse being an asshole. Let's not call an ass a mule here. I mean that O'Reily guy with his "No Spin Zone" is a piece of journalistic shit, but of course he claims to "tell it like it is." Anybody remember Dr Laura? She pulled the same bullshit.

Yea but I only do it when I like what im hearing, Im a hipocrite, so what. So is everyone else. He's entertaining, Dr. Laura is a psycho who probably has more skeltons in her closet then the catholic church. And while Bill O'Reilly is usually a prick he calls a spade a spade when cock lawyers and others that are too high on themselves try and spin an answer that sounds good. He tries to call out those that when you ask them what time it is they tell you how to make a watch and when you walk away you realize they didn't really tell you shit.
