His stupid face makes him look incredibly unheelish. He looks... stupid. Dumb. Gah, why does Brock look so stupid? The mysteries of life... Oh. And I'm a Cena mark. So do start the executioning.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 Cena is solid in the ring, but doesn't hold my attention and is pretty boring, with nothing standing out about his ring presence, moveset, look, etc etc. His character is the same, very bland and boring. The one good thing is the fact that they've gotten rid of his "ruthless agression" thing, since that went away with Vince. But as bad as that was, take that away and you've got nothing. I like the way they showed a "two different sides" personality a few weeks ago, but until they truly pull the trigger on it and decide which way they want to go with him, I have to say that he's no different than most.

Guest Jobber of the Week Posted August 16, 2002 Report Posted August 16, 2002 I was in Oak-Town when I saw him against Shelton Benjamin, back when he was still Prototype, and he was still a pretty damn good heel. But that was because almost none of us (myself included) had ever heard of the guy. He got heat because he was acting cocky and everyone was shouting "Who the hell are you?" I think it's part of what happens when the first guy walks down the ramp is an unknown. Benjamin got the face pop naturally after that. But still... <chant> "YELLOW GUY SUCKS! YELLOW GUY SUCKS! YELLOW GUY SUCKS!"</chant>

He looks real solid in the ring, but I can't stand his lame-ass promos and Power Ranger tights. Cena is just too corny with his "ruthless aggression", bitch slaps, and "I wanna be Edge/babyface Y2J" promos.
Guest Olympic Slam Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 One thing that pisses me off about Cena is that he's supposedly a rookie (as Cole reminds us constantly) yet he acts like he's been in the fed for years. Insulting Test? Slapping wrestlersway more over than him? Making fun of former tag champs Billy/Chuck and their manager? Seriously does anyone act like this when they're a newcomer to anything? I don't recall insulting people on my first day of school or telling my boss he's gay the first day at a new job. Just a tiny observation but it bugs me. BTW, I was also at the Oakland show and Cena did come off as a pretty good , yet cocky heel.
