Foreign Exchange kids

Recommended Posts

one of my good friends now has a foreign exchange kid from Germany at his house for the year. His name is Carsten and he's like 15 or 16 or so.

Nothing big with him so far.. he did say he picked a foods class so he could get in a class with girls.

At least he has some priorities. ;)

Any other stories of Foreign Exchange kids that you have had or went to school with?

My family hosted an exchange student from Germany for about 2 and a half months last year. She was pretty hot, too...we had fun (not in THAT way, and I can't say I really wanted it). Unfortunately, my mother didn't like her at all for some reason (I'm guessing because she was nice, whereas my mother is usually a huge bitch), so she called the agency and had her put in a new home, new town, new school. I still chat with her on AIM now and then, and she's back in Germany.

There were these two australian kids in my town once, we called them the Bobs. I had absolutely no idea what their actual names were, but they were obsessed with Mario Kart. If they got tired of that, one would suggest, "Shall we play some Sega?" only it was pronounced "Seega" as in Bob Seger.

There was a period in high school where I dated a lot of foreign exchange girls...almost exclusively. I became pretty well-known in certain circles for it. I'm pretty enamored with exotic-looking girls, but I think another part of my rationale was that they hadn't been around long enough to know that no one in high school dated me. I learned a lot about other cultures, which was nice. One thing in particular that I learned was that foreign exchange students don't put out.

Our school had a senior foreign exchange student from Germany. I guess the drinking age is different in Germany, because he got drunk a few times here and got into some trouble with the law. But I guess they were sympathetic towards him.

There was quite a rush of Bosnians in my town a few years back.

I have nothing to add to that.

My school had some Canadians come down and stay with various people for a week. Nothing to big other than lots of weed being smoked(Good job border patrol! ) and them being pissed that the drinking age was 21, but does that really stop high school kids? Of course the best thing was having them say stupid shit to random people, except the kids spoke very little english and didn't know what they saying.

Somebody hosted a female foreign exchange student from Venezuela during my sophomore year of high school (8 years ago).

She got herself knocked up around Christmas and went home in May with one in the oven. I thought it was the funniest thing in the world at the time.

...

Oh, hell, it's still damn funny today!

Some girl from Italy was in my acting class last year. She was REALLY conceded.

Although I was at this thing up near Kansas City for a church Youth Group thing and there was this girl from Switzerland, she was pretty cool. I know, not really a foreign exchange student, but eh.
