I just hope it doesn't turn into Blade for girls.

Guest Lethargic Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 I hope this gets a good cast and director. I just hope it doesn't turn into Blade for girls. What would be wrong with that? Blade for girls would be a shitload better than the first Vampirella movie which was a travesty against humanity. And I seriously doubt if it'll have a good cast and director since it's being made by Mindfire for 20 million. Look at X-Men. When it was being made it was a "low" budget comic movie by all standards. The budget was 75 MILLION and that was low. This is 20. It could still be good but you know, they're not exactly gonna get Spielberg to direct it or anything. I wish I knew what the budget to the first movie was. I'm pretty sure it was made on food stamps.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 Well i'm not saying that a Blade for girls would be a bad thing. I was just saying that i rather it not be turned into a Blade clone. Well by good director and cast i didn't mean big names. You can still get a good director and cast without them being big or even known names.
Guest Karnage Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 A Crazy Taxi movie? I think there's other Sega games to base a movie on then that.
Guest El Satanico Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 Title: Area 51 Log Line: Soldiers battle many alien enemies in the top secret government compound, Area 51. Hah, good luck making anything worthwhile out of that license. Well the buyer is Stan Winston's company so it will at least have good alien costumes. Marines, heavy gun use and Stan Winston designed aliens = a enjoyable movie
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 A Crazy Taxi movie? I think there's other Sega games to base a movie on then that. House of Dead and Panzer Dragon to be more specific
Guest El Satanico Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 Aren't they already working on a House of the Dead movie.
Guest Lethargic Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 Yes, the same people doing Vampirella are doing House of the Dead.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 Boy, if you thought Resident Evil was bad, wait til House of the Dead comes out
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 Am I the only one that dosen't buy into horror movies being any good? The only 'horror' movie I like is Aliens..and that's more sci-fi.
Guest J*ingus Posted August 17, 2002 Report Posted August 17, 2002 It's true that horror movies do seem to have the lowest common denominator in all of cinema, excluding porno and Pauly Shore flicks. I think though that it's probably harder to really scare an audience than to produce any other reaction from them, and thus fewer effective movies are made in the horror genre (especially considering Hollywood's limp-dicked "don't offend anybody" nature).
