As far as the other, if memory serves it was Dennis Dyack, right? WTF has he done besides Eternal Darkness? Granted, it's a freaking cool game, but not enough to catapult him ahead of, oh I dunno, YU SUZUKI maybe? or NOBUO MOTHERFUCKING UEMATSU. Best damn video game composer EVER. Admittedly, they don't belong on this list. No one in the video game industry does singlehandedly (Outside of Shigeru Miyamoto), but you can do better than Dennis Dyack.
