FINALLY, after a couple years of hearing about this damn thing it's looking like an October release is likely...it got dropped by a couple companies, now Zombie looks to release it himself.

For those of you that don't know House of 1,000 Corpses is a Rob Zombie film that's been done for about 2 years and he's been trying to get it released for a year now.

They're saying it might carry an NC-17 rating...suppose to be pure blood and gore and guts...other then that it's been kind of top secret and not much is known on the story.

The notable names are Karen Black and Chris Hardwick (The Singled Out guy...he'd had a cool last name porno name)

Although it might go straight to video...that would be a disapointment.

But if it hits the big screen I am there.

I really hope it gets some sort of theater release. I can't believe that NO studio has the balls to release it.

I can't believe that not even Troma would try to do it. I know that they probably couldn't afford to back it fully. But hell i'm sure that Zombie would cover whatever they couldn't.

Ummm, Troma films are only played during midnight shows, and the crowd turn-outs aren't incredible, so I highly doubt that Troma backing the movie's theatrical release would help it much.

I've been waiting for it ever since I read that Rob's script for The Crow 3 was turned down, so he started working on a horror movie script. So, how long has that been? 4-5 years?

House of 1000 Corpse is never ever ever coming out. It'll get delayed, as per usual.

Although if it does come out, I'll eat my hat and listen to "Scum of the Earth" on a 2 hour long continuous loop.

It was going to be released by MGM, but they dropped it after Zombie said they had "less morals" then Universal as a joke.

Well without a major studio it isn't going to be on that many screens so it doesn't really matter who else releases it. Troma backing it would do just as well as any smaller studio. And no matter who releases it the movie won't do well box office wise so that doesn't matter.

Hell 'd love to see the movie doing midnight showings while being promoted like horror use to be. The movie is screaming to be promoted like bmovie horror from the 70's.

By the way...

<<<------ How the hell did i become Jeffrey Hardy?

FINALLY.

Fuck Jason, Fuck Michael Myers, fuck Freddy. Fuck all the hideous too-hip-for-the-genre teenage slasher flicks. Gimme some good ol' fashioned blood & guts horror, the likes of which would make Mario Bava or Dario Argento proud.
