1993 KING OF THE RING

1) King of the Ring Tournament 1st Round:  Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Tatanka in 6:28.  ** This match also ended Tatanka's undefeated streak. Curt Hennig defeated Razor Ramon at 11:43. *** Crush defeated Mr. Hughes by disqualification in 5:43. ½ * Lex Luger defeated Randy Savage in 9:37 by submission with the Torture Rack. **

2) King of the Ring Semi-Finals: Curt Hennig defeated Bam Bam Bigelow in 7:48. * ¾ Lex Luger defeated Crush at 8:05. **

3) King of the Ring Finals: Lex Luger defeated Curt Hennig in 12:50 by submission with the Torture Rack to win the tournament. ***

4) WWF tag team champions The Steiner Brothers defeated The Headshrinkers at 10:32. **

5) WWF Intercontinental champion Shawn Michaels defeated Marty Jannetty in a 2/3 Falls match at 15:28. **** Jannetty won the 1st fall. Michaels won the 2nd and 3rd falls.

6) Yokozuna defeated WWF Champion Bret Hart at 18:54 to win the WWF title. *½ Basically the same as their WrestleMania 9 match, without the Hogan ending.

 

SUMMERSLAM '93

1) Razor Ramon & The 1-2-3 Kid defeated Ted DiBiase & Irwin R. Schyster in 8:45. *** The 1-2-3 Kid defeated Ramon on an episode of Raw. DiBiase & I.R.S. found this amusing. They started to make fun of the Bad Guy for several weeks until Ramon attacked them both. The odds were against Ramon, on they got the better of him until the Kid made the save. Ramon & the Kid formed a friendship and challenged DiBiase & Irwin to match.

2) Jerry Lawler defeated Owen Hart in 9:23. ** Lawler went around making jokes about the Hart's parents. So Owen decided to challenge Lawler to a match.

3) WWF tag team champions The Steiner Brothers defeated The Heavenly Bodies in 14:31. *** ½

4) The Undertaker defeated Mr. Hughes in 6:44. ¼ *Mr. Hughes attacked Undertaker on an episode of WWF Superstars.

5) Tatanka & The Smoking Gunns defeated Bam Bam Bigelow & The Headshrinkers in 10:08. *** No backstory to this match.

6) Shawn Michaels defeated Curt Hennig in 14:54 after Diesel interfered. **** Curt Hennig interfered in a match between Michaels and Crush, and helped Crush win the Intercontinental title. Michaels later introduced Diesel as his bodyguard.

7) WWF Intercontinental champion Crush defeated Lex Luger at 10:30 after a chair attack from Luger backfired. **  Crush lost to Luger in the King of the Ring tournament, and Luger was named the #1 Contender to the IC championship.

8) Yokozuna defeated Randy Savage at 7:02. * Both men were in contention for the WWF title, and this match was to determine the next challenger.

9) Bret Hart defeated WWF Champion Hulk Hogan at 26:59 to win the title. **** ¼ The night after King of the Ring, Yokozuna made an open challenge to anyone in locker room for the WWF title match at the end of the night. Hulk Hogan answered the challenge and scored the victory to win his 5th WWF Championship. Since Bret never received a rematch from Yokozuna he was named the #1 Contender.

 

7TH ANNUAL SURVIVOR SERIES

1) Lex Luger, Irwin R. Schyster, Diesel & Adam Bomb defeated Razor Ramon, Owen Hart, The 1-2-3 Kid & Marty Jannetty at 29:47 in an Elimination match. *** Diesel pinned The 1-2-3 Kid. Diesel pinned Marty Jannetty. Owen Hart pinned Irwin R. Schyster. Razor Ramon pinned Diesel. Lex Luger pinned Owen Hart. Razor Ramon pinned Adam Bomb. Lex Luger pinned Razor Ramon.

2) Curt Hennig defeated Shawn Michaels at 30:00 in a 30-minute Iron-man Challenge match 3 falls to 2 falls. **** ¼ These 2 have been feuding since the summer. Michaels won their match at SummerSlam, and Hennig wanted a rematch here.

3) WWF tag team champions The Quebecers, The Headshrinkers & The Heavenly Bodies defeated The Steiner Brothers, The Smoking Gunns & Men on a Mission at 23:51 in a Tag Team Elimination match. ** The Quebecers won the tag team titles on an episode of Raw in late-October. The Heavenly Bodies defeated The Smoking Gunns. The Headshrinkers defeated Men on a Mission. The Steiner Brothers defeated The Headshrinkers. The Steiner Brothers defeated The Heavenly Bodies. The Quebecers defeated The Steiner Brothers.

4) Yokozuna, Ludvig Borga, Mr. Hughes & Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Randy Savage, WWF Intercontinental champion Crush, The Undertaker & Tatanka at 31:03 in an Elimination match. **¾ Ludvig Borga pinned Tatanka. The Undertaker pinned Mr. Hughes. The Undertaker and Ludvig Borga were both count out. Yokozuna pinned Crush. Yokozuna pinned Randy Savage after Crush turned on him.

5) WWF Champion Bret Hart defeated Jerry Lawler at 30:59 in a Steel Cage match. ***½ Owen Hart was feuding with Lawler. Bret decided to get involved, and granted Lawler a WWF title shot in a Steel Cage.
