Guest Grenouille Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Just like the topic says. My favorite is probably one of the more obscure, The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad. How about you?

Guest Karnage Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Does CGI count as animated in this thread? If so then Toy Story 2.
Guest kane3212321 Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Best Animation - Hercules, it easily has the best design for the animated world of all the movies Favourite Overall - Emperors New Groove, probably the funniest of them all, the scene where the bad guys visit Pachas house makes me chuckle just thinking of it

Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted August 19, 2002 I'd have to go with The Great Mouse Detective. It's not the best of the bunch, but perhaps one of the most well-balanced Disney films ever. The animation was a bit simplistic at times, but featured a huge technological innovation. (One of the earliest uses of CGI, quite possibly the first time it was ever used in conjunction with pen and paper animation) The story was a solid, exciting story, with good humorous touches. Not too hokey, and didn't rely on potty humor or too many "hip" references to get cheap laughs from adults. (Not that those aren't funny... though they do suffer from not being "timeless"... Emperor's New Groove is one of my favorite Disney flicks, but sadly I don't know if it will hold up as well) The voice characterizations were solid... with Vincent Price performing his role as the villain absolutely PERFECTLY. Although the Great Mouse Detective wasn't groundbreaking in any one area, it combined all of the elements that make Disney films great, and is certainly one of the films that lead to Disney's resurgence in the late 80's / 90's. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 19, 2002 A Goofy Movie? Of all the actual good Disney animated movies someone picks "A Goofy Movie"? Argh...Poor Walt must be spinning in his grave. Oh yeah and i despise Hercules. That was such a horrible movie with the only good thing being James Wood as the villian. The part with the "merchandise" just pissed me off like few things can. I'd say while not the best my favorite would have to be Sword In The Stone. I also like The Fox and The Hound.

Guest starvenger Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Lion King. Fox and the Hound and Great Mouse Detective are other favourites. Of all the actual good Disney animated movies someone picks "A Goofy Movie"? Argh...Poor Walt must be spinning in his grave. Just be glad that nobody chose one of Disney's bastardized sequels like Cinderella II or Little Mermaid II etc...
Guest NazMistry Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Tarzan was good for the cool branch surfing animation. Hercules was good cos I dig Greek Mythology. Toy Story & Toy Sory 2 are brilliant. Monster's Inc is even better. Lion King was cool in a bloody revenge type way. But the best is: A Goofy Movie. Who better than Goofy?
Guest pochorenella Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Sleeping Beauty I think is the best, but The Lion King is a close second for me. I like most Disney movies anyway, from Aladdin, to Toy Story, to Antz, to Beauty and The Beast, Tarzan, Robin Hood, etc. But one I don't like is Pocahontas. Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted August 19, 2002 I thought of another Disney film that I love, and no one else has mentioned it. The Black Cauldron. Man, that movie rocks, and it's pretty dark for a Disney flick. If you like the film, check out the DVD, it's great.

Sleeping Beauty's music is far superior to anything they've ever done.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 22, 2002 The Fox and The Hound is easily my favorite. It's one of my favorite films PERIOD. It still brings a little tear to my eye when they realize they can't be friends anymore.
