Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted August 19, 2002 I nominate Sebastian the Bastard for his undying love of pop punk vomit and Slipknot, and myself for being so narrow minded that I listen to nothing but Death Metal. Edit:sp.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted August 19, 2002 he does like shite like alkaline trio, but i'm not too bothered about slipknot. I like quite a few love or hate bands, like AWK~! and Tool but then of course this is the most subjective thing ever.
Guest Shaved Bear Report post Posted August 19, 2002 well...are there any Nelly fans out there?
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Anyone who doesn't like what I like, so I'd say roughly 98% of this board has terrible taste in music.

Guest areacode212 Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Well, he doesn't post here anymore, but Scott Keith has horrible taste in just about everything: video games, TV shows, music, and comic books. From his latest Feedback Feedbag: I love Cinderella -- I always thought that Tom Keifer was one of the most underrated guitar-players and songwriters of the era and I was a big fan of the group from day one until their career died after the Wayne's World soundtrack. "Heartbreak Station" remains one of my all-time favorite albums. I'd also put them way above Warrant -- I always found Warrant to be more of an outlet for Janie Lane's ego than a band with anything to say. I bought DRFSR and the greatest hits CD, but that's about it. Don't even get me started on "Cherry Pie."
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Were SK still around, I'd say he takes the cake. But, of the people who still post here...I dunno. Perhaps Sebastian, because emo kids, in real life, tend to rub me the wrong way.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Cinderella is the worst thing music has ever created
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted August 19, 2002 I lost exactly two notches of respect for Scott Keith after reading that. Also, yeah, Sebastian's taste is music is odd. His banner is especially hillarious because it has that pussy Chris Carabba and those Slipknot dudes molded together. I'd like to state that I have the best taste in music because I'll listen to mostly anything, with certain preferences taking precidence.

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted August 19, 2002 I have questionable music taste but it isn't offensivly bad. But i have wide musical tastes so i guess that makes up for some of my not so good likes.

Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted August 19, 2002 If anyone talked to me over AIM, they'd know the true depths and heights of my taste. For some reason, this board is predominantly metal-oriented, touting the virtues of bands I've never even heard of. Either way, my bad is balanced out by my good. GO KYLIE~! And I can listen to and enjoy Nelly, so BACKDAFUCKUP. My AIM is Kotzenjunge for those who are curious and want a taste of weirdness. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted August 19, 2002 I like Sebastan's taste...for the most part I like a lot of punk/alt/emo/hardcore Slipknot can eat a monkey's ass for all I care though Anyone that likes Nelly I would say also...talk about a lack of imagination for lyrics
Guest Sebastian_the_Bastard Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Also, yeah, Sebastian's taste is music is odd. His banner is especially hillarious because it has that pussy Chris Carabba and those Slipknot dudes molded together. What do you mean, man? Chris Carrabba and Slipknot are the epitome of what music should be... ROCK!!!!!!! I do like both Dashboard and Slipknot, but the banner if obviously meant to cause a few laughs. Why does everyone hate my taste in music? Punk, pop-punk, metal/hardcore, and emo... what's wrong with that? All of you can go to hell!!!! I hate you all!!! Your mom's a whore! Ok, I take it back... we can still be friends Hot sex for sale!, Sebastian the Bastard
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted August 19, 2002 People hate your taste in music because it represents everything wrong in mainstream music today... Emo = whiny kids with acoustic guitars. Nu-Metal = whiny kids with Warlocks in Drop-C
Guest Sebastian_the_Bastard Report post Posted August 20, 2002 I don't like nu-metal. If I liked nu-metal, I'd be listening to KoRn or Limp Bizkit. Your taste in music isn't so great either, Kory. Death metal sucks like no other form of music. And I don't really listen to much mainstream stuff... though much of what I listen to is starting to be recognized and discovered (which they deserve). -Sebastian
Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Report post Posted August 20, 2002 I must say that Dashboard Confessional is the absolute worst band ever. Ever. And obviously I have the best taste in music, ever.
Guest Rock Candy Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Maybe it's me. I listen to quite a bit of hard rock and heavy metal, along with old school rap and 60s garage rock. But a lot of my music taste came from years of radio, so I can also appreciate bands like Bon Jovi, Blink-182 and Jimmy Eat World. I'm not going to dislike a band just because a lot of people can't stand them and wish they would just go away. The only music that I just can't get into is death metal (especially the Norweigan black metal bands, there's some genuinely scary stuff coming out of Scandanavia), most industrial...and G.G. Allin. -Ben
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Hey, Sebastian, apparently you haven't really kept up on the metal posts here, but I think I've made it clear that I don't like death metal. Most of it's incredibly awful (Nile? WHAT THE FUCK?!), and the good bands are just outstanding all-around (ARCH ENEMY immediately comes to mind). What metal do you listen to, or are we going to get into another one of those "Slipknot is/isn't metal" arguments, because I totally owned you the last time? Anyways, yeah...THE WARD IS MY SHEPHERD! Rich Ward was the guitarist in Fozzy that was headbanging half the time. Unfortunately, lousy camera work and awful sound pick-ups didn't allow his true greatness to shine. Guest justsoyouknow Report post Posted August 20, 2002 I'm going to have to agree with Laz on this one....Sebastian has the WORST taste in music. Ever. And he gets his ass kicked whenever he tries to defend himself. It's kinda pathetic, really. But a lot of fun to watch.
Guest LooseCannon Report post Posted August 20, 2002 I'm gonna say MidnightExpress because these are his five favorite songs: "If it isn't Love" by New Edition "Purple Rain" by Prince "Big Poppa" by Notorious B.I.G. "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson "Borderline" by Madonna. No offense of course, but I abhor all of those people except for Biggie (may he rest in peace). I'm going to give Bob Barron an honorable mention if only because my passion for hating U2 appears to be matched by his passion for liking them. Also the various people who have stated they like Avril Levigne. You know who you are.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 20, 2002 You all know my undying love for U2 but I also am a big fan of- PAUL SIMON!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Flame away) Oh and I hate metal

Guest LooseCannon Report post Posted August 20, 2002 I like Paul Simon alright.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Regarding the U2 hate- If you hate them because of Bono's activism and the third world debt thing- Then I agree with you. I think what Bono is campaigning for is a load of shit and makes me think less of him. BUT- If they still play good music and keep out of their concerts- then 'll still be a fan. But if you hate their nusic then well can't really argue with you. But c'mon- The Edge is cool right?
Guest Incandenza Report post Posted August 20, 2002 I admire Bono for his activism. I just don't care for the band, though I think I have a higher opinion of them than Cannon.
