Guest rvd43 Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 Mine Is Bret/Owen From Summerslam '94 OVER 30 MINUTES!
Guest $leepwalka Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 Yeah, that's probably the longest one i've seen but i ain't no expert on cage matches, Bret/Owen was probably one of the only ones i've enjoyed.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted August 19, 2002 Report Posted August 19, 2002 If I remember right,Flair vs Garvin where Garvin won the NWA title was almost 40 minutes
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Ric Flair/Harely Race for the NWA Title went 45 mins.
Guest Dangerous A Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Hogan/Piper from Halloween Havoc 97 SEEMED to go on forever. Match went maybe 15 minutes, felt like an hour.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Old School NWA cage matches always went for at least a half hour. Pick up the best of Starrcade, tons of cage matches on there, but I think some are clipped.
Guest bob_barron Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Nothing is clipped on Best of Starrcade 83-87
Guest Daredevil21 Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 The Owen/Bret cage match from Summerslam 94 is probably the longest WWF cage match that was at least televised, but like others have already said, the old NWA cage matches went at least 20-30 minutes, if not more. On a side note, is there any real point to this thread? I'm not trying to sound all negative but there is so much old school stuff that could be discussed and yet threads like the lengthiest cage matches are being started? This could at least be a sub-topic started within an old school cage match thread.
Guest permagrinning Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 the point is to annoy you oh great one. Just because you don't see the point of the thread doesn't mean it has any validity. Maybe the geek just has a hard on for long cage matches and wanted some feedback so he could check out a few unknown goodies. It's a wrestling forum, the point is to ask pointless questions.
Guest rvd43 Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 dare devil if u hate this thread why did u write a post?
Guest gwf0704 Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Going into the 80's (I know I'm old) Tommy Rich Vs Buzz Sawyer last man standing cage match with Paul Ellering haning over the cage went to about 55 to 60 minutes. Cool thing about the match is there was no ref thus whoever couldn't move at the end was the loser. If you want blood, this match is for you....
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 That's their "Last Battle Of Atlanta" isn't it? It was the final match between the two..as per stipulation.I would love to see that match.

I was fortunate to go as a teen but I have never seen it on tape anywhere, unless someone took a camcorder.
Guest DARRYLXWF Posted August 26, 2002 Report Posted August 26, 2002 Hogan/Piper from Halloween Havoc 97 SEEMED to go on forever. Match went maybe 15 minutes, felt like an hour. You took the words right out of my mouth
