Ramones tribute album

The Ramones tribute album, "We're A Happy Family", is scheduled for release on November 5th. Among the tracks are Rob Zombie's version of "Blitzkrieg Bop" and Marilyn Manson's "KKK Took My Baby Away". Here is what you can expect on the effort:

I was hoping 'don't come close' and 'i remember you' would be covered, but alas no...still definitely buying it though...

Might have to get that. Eddie having 2 songs is a definite plus.

I wish that someone would have covered 'Now i Wanna Sniff some Glue", but the track listing/and artist list doesn't look to bad (Expect for Manson)

Yeah, that interested me. Considering the song, it should be a cool throwback to 1980, Boy & October type stuff. I'm there.

 

Would still like to have them lay down a studio version of "I Remember You" one of these days, but oh well.

I still don't get the point of a Ramones tribute album... I mean, it's not like you could really improve on any of the songs, it's three chord pop-punk for goodness sake! :)

I know you're just joking Evenflow, but nevertheless.

 

A. The Ramones were technically not pop-punk.

 

B. I'd imagine that three chord pop-punk would be a lot easier to improve upon than something more sophisticated to begin with.
