Guest RickyChosyu Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 DDP's selling always wierded me out. It was just odd seeing someone sell cartoonishly like that in the late ninties. It seemed like he was trying channel Terry Funk, or something. I guess it was entertaining in it's own right, though.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 DDP suffered from the same thing that I think Edge suffers from in the ring... not knowing how to handle their size. neither guy is huge, but they are both just big enough to look clumbsy most of the time.
Guest RickyChosyu Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Maybe that was it. I enjoyed some of his work, but his selling and bumping always seemed goofy to me.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 So wait, I thought that RVD was getting a lot of flak for not selling the shoulder to Benoit. When I said selling, I meant throughout the whole match and stuff. Not just from spot to spot. As for bumping, I can't argue there. RVD is a pinball. Haven't seen enough of the Dynamite Kid, but what little I have had access to does reveal much talent in that department. Flair of course. Hard to dispute there. Even his over selling was a plus. And from now on, I'm calling Knoble Benoit Jr. Or should that be Dynamite Kid III?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 I meant RVD's bumping not his selling. He takes moves well...he just doesn't always follow up with the selling of them.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Sorry just the nit picker in me I guess.
