Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Since I was such a diehard He-Man fanatic as a kid, to the point of having virutally everything except the rare Eternia playset, I had to break down and use the funds to start up the new collection. I've already managed to snag all the figures in the first wave, including the He-Man "cross" variant, Battle Cat, Panthor, and Castle Grayskull. Chalk me up as someone sucked into the nostalgia kick. Anyone else finding it tough to resist the "returning toys" from our youth (not necessarily He-Man, but also GI Joe, Transformers, etc.)
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Chalk me up as someone sucked into the nostalgia kick. Anyone else finding it tough to resist the "returning toys" from our youth (not necessarily He-Man, but also GI Joe, Transformers, etc.) I've been buying Star Wars figures (just figs, no ships, etc.) since 1997. Just ones for characters from the original trilogy. Not sure if it's nostalgia, or the fact that I'm a big Star Wars geek.
Guest Matt Young Report post Posted August 21, 2002 I still have my entire Masters of the Universe toy collection from the eighties, along with Castle Greyskull, stored in rubbermaid garbage cans in my grandma's shed. I'm not sure about the new figures though... They look great, but I'm just not sure if spending my much-needed cash on action figures I would do nothing with but look at would be a smart decision when I now have wrestling training and Bowflex payments to make. Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted August 21, 2002 I saw the new figures, but I have other financial obligations to attend to before I can start blowing 10 to 20 bucks on them.
Guest C.H.U.D. Report post Posted August 21, 2002 I pretty much gave up buying/collecting toys because it's expensive, and all they do is take up room. Not only that, but if you have a girl over and she see's toys everywhere, it's pretty much the kiss of death 99% of the time. Still, the Stratos figure looks cool. Maybe I'll get it and hide it in my closet.
