I love that song to death and all, but I'm sure if you just took out all the spaces inbetween the lines it save everyone a great deal of trouble.

You know, I was going to ignore this because someone called it a poem! WTF! WTF! WTF!

It's fucking Led Zepplin, which blows the shit aout of anything that's come out in the last ten years.

Oh and is this short enough?

Agreed. It's a bit sad that more people don't recognize a song that's on what may be the greatest rock album ever. I like that song even more than Stairway to Heaven, in some ways.

This song had the misfortune of being on the same album as Black Dog, Rock and Roll, and Stairway to Heaven, and it got lost in the shuffle.

Sad really, cause it's my favorite Zepplin song.

Misty Mountin Hop really gets me going, for some reason. Battle of Evermore just has an atmosphere all it's own, however.

Ironcically both Misty Mountain Hop and Batlle of Evermore deal with the same topic: Lord of the Rings.

It would be sad for someone who listens to that type of music, and didn't recognize it. However, if someone doesn't even listen to it, at all, then that wouldn't really be "sad".

You're missing the point. I was merely pointing out even though it was very influencial and profoundly good, Led Zeppelin IV is obscure to most people. To me, that's a bit sad.

You know why I have doubts about God?

Because Zepplin, who did more for rock music than I could possibly hope to write in one post, are comsidered archaic, just because the music was recorded a long time ago.

Kids, it still kicks untold of amounts of ass.

If it is obscure to fans of the genre, I can understand. If you are talking about non-fans of it, then I don't get it.

IT'S SAD BECAUSE EVERYONE SHOULD LISTEN TO THIS TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE A GOD-DAMNED ROCK ALBUM!

Is that clear enough?

No, that's rather ignorant if you ask me. If someone isn't a fan of a certain genre, then why "should" they listen to something that doesn't suit their interest?

Hey, I am a Zepplin fan, but honestly I haven't heard of that song. And lighten up with the "I think it's sad bit". I'm sure it's a great song, but not everyone likes rock n' roll.

The sad part is that most people don't give it a chance because they think it's "old" and by virtue of that alone, bad music. I'm sure there are millions of people who love Rock music but have never heard Zeppelin. That's just sad.

And AustinHHH4Life, sorry if I didn't realize that you were a fun of Zepplin, but that song is right before Stairway to Heaven on Led Zeppelin IV, which is their most well known song on their most well-known album, so most Zeppelin-heads have heard of it. Sorry I assumed incorrectly. You really should listen to it, as it's one of the best tracks they ever recorded. Like MrZsasz said, the only reason it's not a very well-known track is because it's on there with Stairway to Heaven, Rock and Role, and Black Dog.

Thank you for giving your side of this using some actual, oh I dunno, maturity. I can't stand people who don't like certain music because they deem it "old" also. Hell, I love very old music, I'm just not that much of a Rock fan from back in the day.

the irony of this whole thread is the kid that claims to be a huge fan can't even spell the name of his favorite band.
