Guest Ozymandias Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Brock has never been over, isn't over now, and never will be over because he will be SO over-exposed by this push (the worst one since King Mabel) that once he improves no one will give a shit. If you used Goldberg to elevate ANYONE it'd be Booker, RVD, Benoit, Eddy etc. Ya know, people who are actually OVER WITH THE FANS. Hall, Shit-stain, & the Goblin were all WAY played-out and the fans (not just smarks) were sick to death of them. Goldberg hasn't beem used as a main-eventer in 3 years and when he WAS it didn't last long. He's a milllion times fresher in fans' minds. Plus, Goldberg is currently a better worker than all 3 combined.
Guest TestKick Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Goldberg will be nothing but another morale killer in a few weeks on the WWE roster. When Goldberg doesn't win 200 matches in a row, nobody will care about him, like we found out in WCW. This will be another poor move by WWE... but could be the worst move. Goldberg is a complete nutcase, and putting him in there with someone like Rocky could be deadly for WWE.
Guest Ozymandias Report post Posted August 20, 2002 People didn't care because it became obvious that the guy wasn't going to be pushed past the mid-card anymore. The same thing happened with Jericho in 1999, remember. Just because you dislike him doesn't mean that the wrestlers would.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Bring him in, job him in the Walls of Jericho, fire him.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted August 21, 2002 I used to have SOOOO many arguments at Squared Circle with Milesberg about how much Goldberg sucks. I'm so glad he ain't here
Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted August 21, 2002 Sorry, but I don't want the overrated, over paid, non-drawing guy who has no respect for the business in WWE. He will raise the rating for 2 weeks and then the ratings will be the same as usual. WWE needs to focus on building new stars, not signing old stars who cost a lot of money. Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2002 I'd mark the fuck out if Goldberg showed up with all his shit. Still.. i'd compare it to fucking some girl and getting her pregnant. Just doing something that seems great and then causing alot of shit to happen. I'd imagine Angle/Goldberg would be the best match for him. Heck, friggin DDP got a good match out of DAMAN~!, why can't Angle?

He wasn't lying though. He is going to wrestle soon. And meeting with Vince? Ugh...I believe it. Vince is going senile.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted August 21, 2002 Maybe Goldberg just wants attention and get people beyond his braindead Marks to go to his site. Tease a meeting with Mcmahon then the Marks drool and blab to the Internet Wrestling sites who report it for us to read. Goldberg blah garbageberg more like it. HE SHOULD JOB TO FUNAKI! Guest Showstoppa Icon Report post Posted August 21, 2002 the wwf doesnt need another HHH in it. They need to concentrate on bringing up ppl rather than relying on old stars. Speaking of HHH, didnt he and goldberg have tremendous heat with each other? If Vince does hire goldberg i could see HHH pulling a stone cold and not showing up b/c hes pissed. Then again HHH could use his political power against bringing him in.
Guest jester Report post Posted August 21, 2002 I think Goldberg is just mouthing off. It's like this has all occured all of a sudden. I kind of get the feeling that someone out there sat down and said "Look. It's been a year. You better make some noise or they're going to forget about you." Yeah, I'm inclined to agree. Even if they are talking, I'd be surprised if anything came of it. As to him coming in, I didn't see much of WCW, so I can't decide if it's good or bad. My gut is telling me "desperation signing." They've got plenty of good wrestlers, if they'd just use them right...
Guest Ozymandias Report post Posted August 22, 2002 That's a good point, but all the upper mid-card guys (RVD, Booker, Y2J, Angle, Eddy, Benoit) would need to be built back up again after all the burying they've taken before you push them to the top of the card. It'll take a bit to intergrate those guys firmly into the main-event scene. Goldberg (as well as Scott Steiner and bringing back SCSA) would help the main-event picture NOW, which is what they need until then.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted August 22, 2002 Bring him in, job him in the Walls of Jericho, fire him. Dude. What the hell are you thinking? Ankle lock. Think about it: "The man who made Hulk Hogan AND Goldberg tap out!"
