Guest Youth N Asia Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 MTV repoter that Tommy Lee will be doing the singing for Drowning Pool through the rest of Ozzfest. I really don't have a comment or opinion or anything...just passing this along
Guest Youth N Asia Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 Yeah...my thoughts exactly The fist pic of Mikey on my banner shows my enthusiam
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 I hope Tommy Lee joins Drowning Pool full-force, so then they can cover "Get Naked"...
Guest Youth N Asia Posted August 20, 2002 Report Posted August 20, 2002 On a side note. Corey, I completly ganked your Mikey pic for use on another board...just thought you should hear it from me rather then on the streets.
Guest areacode212 Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Tommy Lee sings? What does he sound like?
Guest MaxPower27 Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Well, his only single is nu-metal, so he can't really sing. I never liked him in the first place, Crue or anything, so I'm glad Ozzfest has come and gone here, so that I can avoid the human suck-cloud that is Tommy Lee.
Guest swan Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Huh? Tommy Lee and his band are taking over the slot, not Tommy Lee in Drowning Pool. http://www.blistering.com/news/newsdet.php3?ID=3535
Guest Youth N Asia Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Ah...MTV has lied to me yet again
Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Tommy Lee is an absolutely horrible singer. And the sad thing is, he's arguable the best drummer ever, and he doesn't drum on a single track on the new album. He claims that this album is more rock and less techno. He's lying. This new album is pretty much Methods Of Mayhem pt. 2.
Guest Sebastian_the_Bastard Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 And I didn't think Drowning Pool could have gotten any worse...
Guest Matt Young Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 No, MTV never said that in the first place... unless they erroneously reported it on TV and I missed it. When I checked out mtv.com earlier today, it said Tommy Lee was taking the place of Drowning Pool.
Guest DJ Jeff Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Tommy Lee sucks at singing in my opinion. "Get Naked" sucks ass.
Guest NoCalMike Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Ermmm.......Tommy Lee arguably the best drummer ever......WTF!?!
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Ermmm.......Tommy Lee arguably the best drummer ever......WTF!?! No cal beat me to it... Tommy Lee is arguably one of the most OVERRATED drummers ever, but best? I beg to differ greatly on that subject. Crue never had anything that special on drums. Just basic beats so Mick Mars could solo over it. A drum solo doesn't make a drummer great. As far as mainstream music goes, I don't think there's anyone better than Neal Peart. Keith Moon's up there, but Peart's longevity gets him the nod in my book. Danny Carey from Tool is really really really damn good as well. Overall, IMO, there isn't a drummer in the world who can even TOUCH Flo Mounier from Cryptopsy. And I'm not saying that just because I'm fanatically into death and grind, I'm talking from a totally objective viewpoint, that dude is god on drums.
Guest converge241 Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Tommy Lee sucks live and he is full of shit "i left Motley Crue because i love rap, i hate Rock music" *methods of mayhem bombs* *tommy lee starts playing modern rock music sans all the rap songs he did* "im all about the rock" WTF? just go away Tommy OMG!!! CRYPTOPSY!! wow! *impressed*
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 OMG!!! CRYPTOPSY!! wow! *impressed* Cryptopsy is everyone's favorite band, they just don't know it yet.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Actually that little Ian dick reported it on MTV...they way he made it sound is the way I said it...I guess he just wasn't clear enough
Guest swan Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 What the hell you doing watching MTV anyways?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 I was channel surfing and their news bit poped up...I stuck around to see what was up. The only show I ever really watch on MTV is All Things Rock
