Guest Downhome Report post Posted August 20, 2002 I was recently told that The Dynamite Kid never got a pin fall victory over Tiger Mask I, and that comes as quite a shock to me. Now that it has been brought up however, I have noticed that no where on my 8 hour Best of Tiger Mask I tape, or my 8 hour Best of The Dynamite Kid tape, does Dynamite EVER pick up a pin fall victory. I was told, that every time they fought, Tiger Mask I would pick up the legit victory, or their matches would end in a D/Q or Countout finish. Is this true, that Dynamite NEVER got a true victory over Tiger Mask I? If so, why was it like that, if you even know?
Guest NazMistry Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Well I've seen two Tiger Mask/Dynamite Kid matches. Tiger won both by pin. If that helps.

I ask this question, as I have seen quite a few of their matches, both one on one and in tag matches, and now that I think about it, I don't recall Dynamite ever beating Tiger. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 21, 2002 I don't pretend to know much about this... but I was under the impression that he worked for Stampede at the time...and went to JApan on tours... if that's the case...I could see how he never won...as it would make little sense to put a guy you have for a few weeks over a guy who is there all the time. Guest Grenouille Report post Posted August 21, 2002 I'm no expert on this time period, but I remember reading his book and him talking about winning the WWF Jr. title from Tiger Mask.
Guest Grenouille Report post Posted August 21, 2002 Well, I just checked it out at Puroresu.com. I was wrong, Dynamite won the WWF Jr. title in type of triangle match with Cobra and Davey Boy Smith. DK never did lose the belt though, it got vacated when the Bulldogs jumped ship to All Japan.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 21, 2002 that's funny...cause Tiger Mask never lost it the last time either. That's pretty shitty looking on your title lineage. pretty WCWesque
Guest The Masked Avenger Report post Posted August 23, 2002 (Enter The Masked Avenger, stage right) As I recently watched a coupple of Dynamite's matches from Japan, I recall two instances were Dynamite won. The first was when Tiger Mask threw him over the guarding rail, and into the audience, and I suppose it was some sort of disqualification. The second, was when T.M. preformed a cross body block on Dynamite that forced him backwards over the railing in what looked a legitimately painful way. Dynamite wins by DQ, but looks seriously pissed, tries to go for the tombstone, but T.M.. refuses to cooperate. Dynamite asks that the match continue, and they stiff each other until the ref stops it for good. This match had somewhat of a semi-shoot feeling over it. Has anybody got any more info on this, btw? Guest The Masked Avenger Report post Posted August 24, 2002 It was a great match, with much of their usual (if usual can describe something like this...) stuff, but the ending sees T.M. refusing to cooperate on a tombstone (no doubt fearing that Dynamite will *kill* him), Dynamite hitting it outside, spiking T.M. rather brutally, and the ref (who was headbutted twice if I recall correct) ending the match. I'll let you know if I find out where and when it was...
