This may be silly, as the thread has mutated from an interesting question to some twisted arguement over poster intentions (for the life of me I know not why I'm surprised), but I'll answer the question.

 

I guess I shouldn't feel bad about not being mentioned as I post here very rarely and, for the most part, always have AND I'm not up to date on my lucha knowledge or joshi. I'm currently taking it a step at a time and with North American pro's, puro, mixed martial arts, and U.S. Indies under my belt, I'm thinking this joshi thing will be my next evolution.

 

Ego stroking aside, I think that there are a lot of people that show a good command of knowledge of the business. Most of them show it in the puro folder but I think that is mainly attributed to the lack of knowledge of politics played on the puro scene, so the sport of it is the main topic of conversation.Some guys who have shown that they know what they are doing:

 

Jingus: Overall the most tolerable and knowledgable guy on the board

Jubuki: Very smart, disturbingly smart, but not always warm and welcoming (as though that really matters)

Wolverine: Like Jubuki, but a little less harsh

PlatypusFool: A little newer to the scene than Jubuki and Wolverine but still interesting and worth listening to

bob barron: all around pretty cool, mixed with a sufficient grasp of the sport makes him "list worthy"

Bps: As the silent NWA TNA mark, i am-by default-in bps debt for raising awareness.

Dace: the go to guy for wrestling move questions (I wonder if Michael Cole has given him an ulcer yet)

 

There are other guys I like, that I would like to hear more from: StylesClash, Black Tiger, etc... I dunno, this board is full of guys who obviously share a great passion for the business and I sense there are some whom know much more than they let on and there are probably also some whose knowledge gets lost behind meaningless posts.

I'd *like* to think I'm a bit more rounded in my knowledge of wrestling in general whether it be old/modern/current NA, Lucha, Puro or even MMA.

 

But yeah, I do bring up some left field topics.

Realistically, there isn't anyone close to Chris (Jubuki) on these boards. He just knows what the fuck he's talking about, and his website proves it. Just awesome.

 

But overall, the smartest guy in the Internet Wrestling Community has got to be jdw from Otherarena.com. I wouldn't have gotten into puroresu without reading his material....

silly rabbits, since dean and phil from DVDVR post their workrate reports here then I would certainly qualify those guys. I have seen more great matches because of those two than any other writer on the net, including SK.

 

also, sassquatch does indeed know his shit!!! i have sat in the WDI chat with him and loss4words, just listening to those two spew off mountains of info that no other person on this board has ever heard of.

 

also, how could i forget jhawk. he also has an uncanny amount of wrestling knowledge in that thick skull of his!

hey trivia, no offense but i've never seen you exhibit any wrestling knowledge outside of the american feds. not a flame at all but the guys i have mentioned could probably fly to every part of the world and teach me something about the wrestling there.
