NEA

Obviously most everyone read or saw that the NEA is telling teachers that on the aniversary of 9/11 not to blame any group, and to point to reasons why the U.S. was attacked.

Don't blame anyone. Muslim Terrorist did it, end of story.

This is... sickening. I will never again vote for a Democrat. And I want all these shithead Moslem organisations banned right fucking now. Council for American Islamic Relations? American Muslim Council? Fuck you. I've never heard anyone call herself a Christian-American. You're either Americans or Moslems. You can be Americans and practice a decent, tolerant, non-violent, modern Islam, but you can't owe allegiance to the United States and Islam at the same time. You're with us or you're against us.

Choose.

I completely agree with Marney...

If I was in a teaching position you bet your ass i'm gonna tell my students what happened if they ask questions about it. Most kids past a certain age know exactly what is going on anyways. They all have TV's...and let us not forget ALL kids watch TV these days, just look at the studies.

Bear in mind that the NEA is only doing this to cover its ass. All it takes is one little Rahib going to school and coming home saying some dumbass teacher blamed all of Islam for what happened and everyone from the school janitor to the NEA would be in the lawsuit.

Dante's right. Schools have to be the most PC places on earth.

You can't blame anybody unless you're blaming everybody.

Actually I dunno how that compares to slavery. I guess you just can't blame minories :(

I'm liberal but the truth is very important, whatever it is, whomever it offends.

Let's go a step farther and have some more fun with this. You can't tell kids that a bunch of Islamic fanatics caused 9/11.

Why? Because we have to make damn sure that we don't offend someone in a minority religion and then blow off things like discrimination because of where they're from in this country? Or rights being infringed upon just because someone is a from a majority?

Screw PC

This is ridiculous. There's no end to the contempt I feel for whatever spineless pieces of shit issued this decree. It's very clear who attacked us. I don't give a shit if anyone gets offended by it. The truth is that Muslim extremists have repeatedly targeted America with terrorist attacks. If you're too much of a goddamn ninny to hear that, too fucking bad. Cover your fucking ears, sit down, and shut the fuck up.

Fucking multiculturalist shit.

Teachers should be telling kids that 9/11 was because of radical Islam. Not the people of Afghanistan, not Sauid Arabia, not Palestine, not Saddam Huessein. We were attacked by radical Islamic fundamentalists and this war IS with radical Islam. The media and George Bush need to step up to the plate and make this known to people!

Political Correctness will be the death of this country, mark my words.

It's already been the death of over 3000 innocent Americans.

That is so very true.

Tom, whether you like it or not, if teachers did take a hard line on this issue and point fingers for their students, they WOULD get sued, bottom line. Probably several different lawsuits would be filed. In fact, they probably still will be filed anyway. This is just to legally cover the NEA's ass for the inevitable bullshit trial.

I always thought the NEA was the National Endowment for the Arts? Anyway...

Of course they'd get sued. Hell, if the Saudis can sue over 9/11 when fifteen of their most worthless citizens directly caused it to happen, then I guess anything's possible. Legally, though, what leg would they have to stand on? They'd probably try to call it slander and defamation of character; their problem is that the truth is an absolute defense against the former, and one must actually have some character to defame in order to cite the latter.

(Edit: typo)
