Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 How come it only goes back to 2000?
Guest MrBiznatch Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 ummm where's Jericho on that list?
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 21, 2002 Author Report Posted August 21, 2002 Crash was the first to hold it in the 24/7 era and Test is there as the last non-24/7 holder
Guest Dangerous A Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 Actually Bischoff can do us all a favor and ABOLISH THE HARDCORE TITLE ALL TOGETHER!!! The division is DOA. No one cares about that title. End the madness now. I don't mean to shit on you Rob E., I just think it's the most worthless title this side of the Western States Heritage title from the Ol' NWA days.
Guest Anglesault Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 I think some Dreamer/Richards matches can help that belt.
Guest art_vandelay Posted August 21, 2002 Report Posted August 21, 2002 ummm where's Jericho on that list? Jericho won and lost the title on the same night, so it doesn't show up in the "clean" list.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 "He's still a Grand Slam + 1 Champion, right?" I asked. "No-uh!" came a mysterious reply.
Guest claydude14 Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 this is no doubt the work of that damned TRIPLE H!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Guest TestKick Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Don't blame the 24/7 rule... the Hardcore title has been worthless since it's inception. Angle also won, and lost the title on the same day. Funaki should be on this list, out of respect. Why did you start that list with Test?
Rob E Dangerously Posted August 22, 2002 Author Report Posted August 22, 2002 because Test was the last Hardcore champion before Crash won it and declared 24/7
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 They cleaned up the Hardcore Title History? Blasphemy! Now it seems more credible! And with Dreamer as champ, the credibility can only keep coming...
Guest TestKick Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 So.. if they kept the belt on Test, none of these 24/7 rule shenanigans would have happened...
Guest AnnieEclectic Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 I had to tape RAW due to other obligations, and found myself fast forwarding a lot.... then the Hardcore 6 minute brawl which I watched, then marked out when Dreamer retained! Then some more fast forwarding... more fast forwarding.... BookDust/UT v. Unamericans was good.... fast forward.... fast forward.... end show. There are now only two reasons I watch the WWE right now (would be more if I had SD available to me) 1) Hardcore Div. lead by the man who's meant to lead it: Tommy Dreamer. 2) BookDust actually, three reasons, as almost everything out of Bisch's mouth lately is gold. So, with all due respect TestKick and DangerousA .... go screw. I love the HC div. -Annie E
Guest ISportsFan Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Hey, but if you clean up the Hardcore title history, then Raven and Bradshaw and Crash, etc., aren't the most decorated people in WWE history! You can't disrespect those guys! Jason
Guest cabbageboy Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 Looking at that insanity you gotta take notice at how awesome RVD's run was. He's literally the only guy on that list that made the title anything more than a piece of shit. He held it from roughly Invasion last year till Vengeance, with a 6 day Jeff run in between.

Don't forget Steve Blackman, he dominated for an entire summer and into the fall. The belt was also pretty good somewhere around March-summer 2001 before the Invasion when Raven and Rhyno were doing their thing. I loved their match from Backlash 2001. Pure fun

Pure fun Yea, Raven vs. Rhyno at Backlash 2K1 is still my favorite Hardcore Match and my favorite Raven WWF match.
Guest notJames Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 What was the point of that last HC Invitational melee? It was a boring affair (mostly attributable to that big lunk Bradshaw), and Dreamer still ended up retaining. What a waster of 6 minutes. I was hoping that halfway through that torrid affair, Bischoff would call out the Three-Minute Offense ™ and destroy the belt completely. Feh.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted August 22, 2002 Report Posted August 22, 2002 That Rhyno match was definatly Raven's best in WWE. In fact, it was probably his only good one. Dreamer and Richards are the only guys worth a crap in the HC division. Everyone is truly worthless, or Bradshaw, who gets his own elite upper tier of worthlessness.
