Guest Tyler McClelland Report post Posted February 23, 2002 I'm fairly new to these boards, and I wanted to see what everyone's favorite team is... Mine is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Guest jimmy no nose Report post Posted February 23, 2002 I like the Steelers, but that's because I'm from Pittsburgh. I'd assume many people are going to go with their home teams. In the NFC I like the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Guest Bruin Report post Posted February 23, 2002 The Cleveland Browns.. Aside from the fact that their my home team, I've been a fan since I actually started understanding football. Plus, it helps that I've been a season ticket holder since they've come back to Cleveland Even have my name on the plaque (sp? or did I just spell something that has to do with tooth decay...?) of people who supported the Browns while they were gone (signing the very lengthy petition and a co-owner of a PSL). Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted February 24, 2002 Growing up around the Pittsburgh area, I have always been exposed to the Black and Gold. However, instead of rooting for teams, I would rather be entertained by a good game. Besides, the Steelers have to be considered one of the biggest chokers of the last 20 or so years. Check this out... -- Lost in Conference Champ. to Chargers at home in '94. -- Barely beat the Colts a year later and lost to the Cowboys in the Super Bowl. -- Lost to the Broncos at home in the Conference Champ. at home in '97. -- Lost to the Pats this past season. I could also mention a home playoff loss to a more experienced Bills team in '92(?), an away loss to a Joe Montana-led Chiefs squad in '93(?) and an away defeat to a better and healthier Pats team in '96. Guest Sassquatch Report post Posted February 24, 2002 I am a proud member of the "Black Hole Nation". RAIDERS!!!RAIDERS!!!!RAIDERS!!!RAIDERS!!!! I was pissed when they left LA, but I stayed with the team that had brought LA to the Superbowl. I got to meet Howie Long when I was younger which was awesome. What's funny is that my mom is from Kansas City. And we all KNOW just how well the KC fans get along with Oakland fans... I asked her once how people in Kansas say: "The Raiders won" Her reply was priceless. "The assholes cheated again." I was rolling. And I'm also a devoted "Cheesehead" as well. Bret can be one of the best QB's in the NFL when he is ON. But when he is off, he is OFF! Who says I can't like two teams?
Guest brownsdawg208 Report post Posted February 24, 2002 Big time Browns fan. Even though I live Cincy, my dad brought me up as a Browns fan. Which is a very good thing, because I don't think I'd ever have liked football if I had to root for the Bungles.
Guest Bruin Report post Posted February 24, 2002 Cincinnati Bengals...Sure, We might never win any games but unlike Cleveland, We can boost TWO TIME TWO TIME AFC CHAMPIONS! We can boast having 8 NFL Championship Titles. Can the Bungles say the same? BTW, Thanks for our first Shut Out win this year from the Bungles Of course, I'm just joking around in this post

Guest Below the Glass Ceiling Report post Posted February 25, 2002 The New England Patriots, man. Bandwaggoner, I am not. I remember the days of Rod Rust and Dick MacPherson. I remember during 1990-1992, the Patriots compiled a horrific 9-39 record. I remember the starting QB before Bledsoe (Hugh Frikkin' Millen?????). I remember only 20,000 fans showing up at Foxboro to watch them. Yes, it's been a long road. Which makes the Super Bowl win a whole lot sweeter.

Guest El Hijo Del Lunatic Report post Posted February 25, 2002 I'm still behind the Redskins. Even though the front office has turned into a combination revolving door - three ring circus, there are plenty of "home-grown" guys to get behind there. I wish someone down there would realize how well they've drafted the past three or four years and build off that instead of putting their hopes into high-priced, old, overrated free agents. It's frustrating, but I still bleed burgundy and gold. Cheers to another "failure" of a season, even though they'll finish at or above .500.

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 26, 2002 I'm was born and raised as a Cleveland Browns fan so i'm not going to turn on them now. And i for one am glad that Arty boy left town. I'd much rather have Al Lerner who has money to spend as the owner. But i'm really happy that Lerner made sure he got the coach he wanted in Butch Davis at any cost. Yeah it could be argued that if Art Modell stayed the Browns would've won the Super Bowl that the Ravens won. But since it was a totally different team then the one that left Cleveland it's hard to say if it's a valid argument.
