Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted August 22, 2002 This is just a mindless rant on my part, so ignore this if you want to. Anyways, seeing as how I wasn't too pleased with the route the WWE took from Wrestlemania 18 to SummerSlam, I decided I'd post what I wanted to see happen. Here goes: Wrestlemania 18 I would have had the Rock beat Hogan, like we all saw, and I would have had HHH beat Jericho, again, like we all saw. Backlash This is what I would have done different. Instead of giving Jericho no match whatsoever at Backlash, I would have put him in the Austin vs. the Undertaker match, thus making it a Triple Threat Match. The outcome of that would have been Austin winning, but still, Jericho would have had a match. As for the main event, that would have stayed the same, HHH© vs. Hogan for the WWE Undisputed Title. However, here's what I would have had happened. Instead of Hogan winning the title, I would have had HHH retain the title due to Hall and X-Pac interfering and screwing Hogan out of the WWE Undisputed Title. This would be payback for Hogan turning his back on the nWo, also, HHH could have joined the nWo as well. Judgment Day For the main event, I would have had HHH© vs. Austin for the WWE Undisputed Title. The outcome could have been HHH retaining the title in the same fashion as Backlash. The semi-main event could have been something like Hogan vs. Jericho. King of the Ring Okay, first off, I would have scrapped that stupid stipulation that the winner of the King of the Ring would get a shot at the WWE Undisputed Title at SummerSlam. Now, here's what the main event would have been....HHH© vs. the Rock for the WWE Undisputed Title. What I would have happen is Hogan come down, and help the Rock win the title, and then have the Rock and Hogan align with each other. Oh, and I would have still had Lesnar win the King of the Ring. Vengeance Now, here's where it gets a bit good. Between the King of the Ring and Vengeance, the Rock and Hogan are showing their friendship with each other, and they're showing that they can be a good tag team. At Vengeance, the Rock is defending the WWE Undisputed Title against the Undertaker, and during the match, Hogan comes down and almost costs the Rock the title by hitting him in the head with the title belt, which was meant for the Undertaker. The Rock still retains, but the Rock and Hogan's bond is kind of a bit shaky. SummerSlam Between Vengeance and SummerSlam, the Rock and Hogan start hating each other, and a match is made between the two at SummerSlam for the WWE Undisputed Title. So, the main event is the Rock© vs. Hogan for the title. During the match, the nWo run down to the ring and start attacking the Rock. Since this is a no DQ match, this is legal. After the beatdown, Hogan executes the Leg Drop on the Rock, but he kicks out. The nWo attack the Rock again, which leads to Hogan hitting the Rock in the head with the WWE Undisputed Title, and winning the title, and in the process, rejoining the nWo. His reasoning for doing this could have been because the Rock turned on him. There, that's what I would have wanted to see. B)
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 22, 2002 My wishes were simple: 1. Jericho retains at SummerSlam to solidify him as a Main Eventer. 2. HHH could beat Jericho for the title at Backlash...cause he'd inevitably win the belt anyway...so this as as good a time as any. 3. Kurt Angle becomes WWE champion at KOTR. Clean. Tapping. Clean. 4. RVD wins the KOTR to get the title shot at SS. 5. Angle makes Rock tap at Vengeance...to further set up how dominant he is. 6. Angle wins a hard fought match over RVD by cheating to win at SS. The rest of the year is Angle beating guys like Hogan and Taker (you know...usless guys) by making them tap. RVD feuds with Benoit and Guerrero... At some point he loses another title match to Angle...not on ppv though. They throw in some thing about him getting one last shot...which he loses as well. then RVD wins the Royal Rumble to get a rematch with Angle. He wins the title at Mania 19 in true face fashion. They could set RVD up as the guy who can't get the job done (well...Lawler can as the heel announcer) but JR would point out that Angle has to cheat to beat him. That's how I treat my top face and heel, anyway. MAnia should be the blowoff to the years biggest angles. That's what this is.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted August 22, 2002 I like your idea bps.......RVD/Angle would have lots of heat and would be a good match at the same time, which we rarely get in the WWE....
Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted August 22, 2002 I actually do agree that RVD vs. Angle would be a good match. That's going to be in my "What Should Happen Between SummerSlam & Wrestlemania 19" thread. B)
