Konnan and the Luchadores

In a number of Scott Keiths rants he makes references to Konnan only being hired for access to the Luchadores and him having them by the balls so to speak. Whats all this about cause its been bugging me for a while?

I think Konnan was the promoter or some high official of AAA at the time.

its the team of Lagunaros:

 

Left - Blue Panther

Center - Black Warrior

Right - Dr Wagner Jr

 

they were one of the best Rudo teams in CMLL

I thought that was Wagner Jr. I've only ever seen one lucha match so I have no idea who half the guys are when i see pictures of them

well Dr Wagner Jr changes his mask alot, I have seen 6 different masks so far.

 

The Fusion mask is my favorite, its a combo blue & white mask of half of Blue Panther and half Dr Wagner Jr.

 

There is also a Mexican Flag mask that he wears alot.

 

Black Warrior also has a Fusion mask of half black & silver and half orange.

I love CMLL........AAA is okay, but I mark for CMLL.

Yeah Konnan was tight with AAA and EMLL (I might be wrong on one of those), when he went to America, he opened the door for Rey Rey, Juvi, Psicosis and others to go to ECW. When they went there, they were signed by WCW. Konnan was big backstage because he was bilingual, and could get Mexican wrestlers rental cars, and hotel bookings, etc. Also, as Misterio said in his shoot interview, the luchadores were getting their checks sent directly to AAA, so the promoter was taking portions of their checks. Konnan put a stop to that, so he was a diplomatic guy in that sense.
