619? Did JR write that down for Mystero's nickname??? Is that his BoogerRed, or Bubba Tough, or Hoss, or Bionic Redneck??? Can't people be called their Damn Wrestling names No mo?

619 is his finisher, which is named after his address in San Diego? Yeah, I think so.

619 is his finisher. It's his area code at home, so the finisher is called "619" as saying "he's going home"

619 = Rey's area code in San Diego.

Every time he hits it, it's like he's "going home" aka: term for finishing the match. Huzzah.

well isn't that clever of them... guess Springboard Hurricanrana would be too difficult for Michael Cole.

F-5 is a category of tornado winds. Get it? Because he's spinning them around?

Actually, I think that has another completely different name that is incredible lame.

I can see the reasoning behind naming Rey's Tiger Feign into a kick the 619, because calling it would require chanelling Bischoff and going all "Spinning front middle rope side face kick."

Actually, "F-5" is like the most severe kind of tornado I think, so that's why they use it to describe his move, which has a big spinning motion.

Well I guess you can't expect Miracle Ectasy and Emerald Fusions

we should expect Zipcodes Addresses and Tornado Devastation scales.... Whats next the Crop Duster???? No No wait...the COW TIPPER!!! or or the 90210... or the Springer Splash. lol

I like the name 619. Its kind of a cool name for the odd move.

I've always been partial to the name: The Butler's Intrusion!~

You don't wanna know what that move entails.....

I believe I heard Michael Cole call the springboard hurricanrana the "West Cost Pop"...which is just awful.

Wait a minute...Why doesn't the Hurricane do a Hurricanrana?

actually Michael Cole's Name for the Finisher, would be something like "Tazz How will the Rock Survive Tonights Main Event" Why??? because he is Shilling from the first match to the Main Event about the Main Event and what happened at Raw and whats going to happen at the PPV. Someone could do a Ki Krusher 99 in front of him and he would be too busy talking about the Trading back and forth between GM's

Yea, I've heard Michael Cole call it that too (goes with his entrance music, I guess... WEST COAST! POP!), but the WWE Smackdown Official Roster lists the finisher as Top-Rope Hurricanrana; 619, but the 619 is the WWE's name for the "spinning front middle rope side face kick". What did they call it in WCW?

Oh, and Hurricane doesn't do a hurricanrana because then there wouldn't be any place in the match for the Hurri-Choke Slam! :D

619 (for his swinging kick thru the ropes, not the springboard rana) is just fine. Quite frankly,

there are loads of wrestling moves that smarks in particular go apeshit over that have much more bizarre names that make absolutely NO SENSE whatsoever.

Shining Wizard?? WTF!

He never did that move in WCW to my recollection. He would do something similar to it. He'd get whipped into the ropes, and then go in between them. Basically it was the 619 with nobody to kick

The Shining Wizard probably makes more sense in Japanese, maybe something got lost in the translation, I dunno

Misterio didn't use the "619" in WCW as a move, he just used to swing between the ropes ALA Tiger Mask.

Funny thing... when I made Rey Misterio on Smackdown 2, I obviously gave him the Tiger Feign, having seen him perform it on numerous occasions. So I'm playing the game, basically pulling off the move at every opportunity just cuz it's so fun, and I accidentally knock out one of the guys outside the ring! This is long before Rey even came to the WW_. So the conspiracy theorist in me is thinking...

Someone from Stamford must have a camera in my TV room...

Maybe I should hold up signs during the TV broadcasts...

;)

619 in WCW was more of a Fake out that made the opponent back off on the floor then Rey would then hit a Plancha or Pescado.

I thought a shinning wizard was a post off the knee leading to a knee in the face...not just a kick to the head while the guy's down.

Now the 6-1-9...is that just the kick thing he does...or the whole move with the pin to end it

Just the spin and kick. The pinning 'rana (West Coast Pop - ugh) is a separate move.

The Shining Wizard is a jumping knee strike to the face, using the opponents knee to spring off.
