Guest CanadianChick Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Did anyone else think that Matt's comments were a little uncalled for?
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 TestKick banned? What did he say? I mean... let's start the EVENFLOWDDT LIVE* SMACKDOWN COMMENTARY! wh00! Fun cruiserweight match... the bit where Nidia went down on Shannon Moore and Tajiri came in with a kick to the face was gold. Hmmmm... can it be, a new Three Count? * Tape delay... WESTSYDE 4 LYFE~!
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Did Matt Hardy bulk up a bit, or are Hurricane and Moore just really scrawny? Matt looked huged standing next to them.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 What? You mean Benoit & Guerrero haven't already HAD pay cuts? *cough*[insert HHH/old holding down joke here]*cough* Hmmm... gotta love Steph making excuses for Rock and he hasn't even jobbed yet... whatever happened to her being a strong business woman? She let freakin' EDGE force her to book a match! I mean, he's not even a heel!

Well, not "new" as much as a semi-reunion. Flyboy calls them "Near Fall" but I dunno if he originated that name.
Guest the pinjockey Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 I think Hardy has just bulked up a good bit. Also how cool was it that the crowd popped huge for Moore winning. Shannon Moore rules all.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 I totally agree. I am fast becoming a huge Shannon Moore mark.
Guest Downhome Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Haha, I'm already a long time Shannon Moore mark! :D
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 WTF? Matt is a developing character? Hurricane took off his mask? Dude, North Carolina is a strange place! I'm glad to see they're developing a character for Matt Hardy... I mark for cocky heels, and why shouldn't I? They're the GREATEST! Has Matt Hardy ever had a character before?
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 I actually liked him better in Three Count. He just looked so much like a member of a boy band. It took awhile for me to get used to his new "Essa Rios" look.

Well, not "new" as much as a semi-reunion. Flyboy calls them "Near Fall" but I dunno if he originated that name. I call Moore and Hurricane "1-2-Kickout!", but I thought Three Count was a WCW-only stable, and I never knew the Hardys were in WCW. Also, Shannon Moore rules... period! Even if he does still look like a blonde Esse Rios
Guest the pinjockey Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Has Matt Hardy ever had a character before? Of course. He is the daredevil who has the balls to do a second rope leg drop. EXTREME~! I don't think Matt ever had a character. Jeff was the daredevil Matt was along for the ride. He wasn't crazy in the ring and he cut about five minutes total in promos for about four years so there was not much room for development.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Was that an octopus stretch by Chavo? That was pretty awesome.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 I do not see why the wrestlers act all shocked when a Kane vignette happens. It is like, "It is just a bunch of words and pyro and stuff. No big deal. Continue with the match."
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 A screwjob equal to Bret in Montreal? Whoa Matt, them's could be fightin' words in some smark parts! F-N-K! Best Smackdown interviewer... ever? I think so, by default
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 It's Funaki! *marks out* Funaki is awesome! Post number 666, and it is about Funaki! Woohoo!

It is like, "It is just a bunch of words and pyro and stuff. No big deal. Continue with the match." Well, if you think about it, a sudden explosion would certainly break concentration, if nothing else. Plus, given Kane's ummm... lacking intelligence, with Hardy's semi-ratty hair, he's probably afraid Kane would appear and mistake him for X-Pac.
Guest the pinjockey Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Hardy: "When there is an explosion the match ends right there" That part was so awesome. Just thinking about the ruling of a wrestling match when an explosion occurs had me laughing.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 See... Nidia's not loose, she's just "open"! No, not down there... geez...
Guest Kid Kablam Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 I know Testkick has been banned, but I want to bring up the Benoit/Eddy brawling. The thing is that it was GOOD brawling. It had a point. It went somewhere. Benoit is not just a suplex machine, he's a surgeon who disects, who focuses, and picks apart opponents in a methodic style that is lethal. Ok, I'm sounding really markish, but point is that the difference between Test and Benoit when they brawl is that A) Benoit's brawling has psychology, B ) Benoit can brawl well, in that his punches look stiff. Benoit is one of the best brawlers that WWE has, even better than those who's primary style is brawling. Same with Eddy. They worked Rock's rib cage, they did what they wanted to do. The main point of the match was that they wanted to cause their opponents pain, and so they did that. Plus they worked very well as a team.
Guest Will Scarlet Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Screw you, Molly! You just do not disrespect FNK!
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Well, there is a "big" difference between Rey Mysterio and Kurt Angle... look at 'em! It's like the Andre/Hogan staredown!
Guest Downhome Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Wait, why are some of you acting as if SD is still on? Are you who are still talking about it in a delayed area or something? If so, may I join in on this delayed discussion, as I wasn't here (never am) when SD was on?
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Wait, why are some of you acting as if SD is still on? Are you who are still talking about it in a delayed area or something? If so, may I join in on this delayed discussion, as I wasn't here (never am) when SD was on? This WEST SYDE RYDAH~! (THREE HOUR DELAY!! w00 w00!) has no problem with you joining in the discussion, although all I usually do are make silly comments about backstage segments and say "that was a [insert one-word description here] match". I'll talk specific spots though if you want. Now then... Billy Kidman/Kurt Angle is about to begin. Let's see how well Kidman can work with a cruiser, and hopefully this sends a message to those who think the Angle/Mysterio match on Sunday will be all bad.
Guest Kid Kablam Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Yes, Evenflow is on a delay. Also, is it just me, or is Rey Mysterio cross eyed. He sure as hell looked it tonight. Maybe it has something to do with his eyes focusing on that extra wide nos piece on his mask.

I could be an ass and spoil everything as I have already watched it, bwahahahaha!
Guest the pinjockey Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 From now on there should be a OaOSD thread and a OaO delayed SD thread
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 The match is pretty good so far, I was worried in the beginning when it was basically Angle "feeding" Kidman the opportunity for cruiserweight reversals, but... well, it's still basically that, but now it's looking a lot smoother, like the top rope bulldog.
Guest Downhome Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 Am I the only one disgusted at Brock/Heyman promos? I don't mean don't like them, but literally disguested at them. Paul Heyman is worth so much more than to be stuch with Brocky, seriously. Why can't he get with someone who could benifit from him? As for Brocky, what exactly is his personality/character again?
