Please. Will & Grace, Friends, Boston Public, That 70's Show and SmackDown! (which is very toned down) don't belong on that list. I don't really feel like going into why they don't belong there at this moment, but the rest of you can feel free to do so.

NO ONE WATCHES PAX!!! They can have a boner for the station all they want, but no one watches.

 

Did George Lopez go longer then 5 episodes?

 

I can almost see Buffy being high on the list...they delt with rape, murder, revenge, and lesbians this year...but I can find way more offensive stuff on tv then that. But it's at the 9-10 timeslot...that's late enough for what kind of show it is.

Well when looking at the lists you have to remember what PTC is all about. They don't give a fuck about rather it's a good show or not they are all about "moral" and kid friendly shows. So these lists make total sense although i think they could've found more offensive stuff for the "worst of". Shocked that South Park and Simpsons aren't on it since they would be much more offensive then Friends or C.S.I.. However since this is mainly a Christian group maybe they didn't put South Park because of them attacking the Catholics, but then they went and spit on organized religion so nevermind.

 

But still i can't stand the "moral right" and people like this so screw these people and their lists.

Yeah PAX is Cable and is a rather terrible channel unless you like boring totally unoffensive shows like 7th Heaven and mediocre game shows like Supermarket Sweep and Shop till You Drop.

 

It's one of those "oh yeah my grandmother watches that crap" channels.

Again CRITERIA people? This is SCI-FI/Horror I can think of a whole slew of shows that are worse in the gore and violence in the same genre of Buffy. So you are telling me you are only using shows about people growing up?

If that is the case what in the hell are ALL OF THESE SHOWS even ON THE LIST? No one is growing up on ANY of these shows, hell if you consider Friends a "First steps into the real world" show I would buy it, FIVE YEARS AGO! But thats the only one. Seems like they are picking on shows just due to the noterity

Okay why is Boston Public on here and not NYPD Blue? Hell I'd think the PTC would have major problems with The West Wing as well.

3. Sabrina the Teenage Witch (WB) - there can't be much left for this show, shes not even a teenager any more for crying out loud??

 

4. 7th Heaven (WB) - uh yeah, but don't let anyone find out about one of the stars posing half naked!!!

 

5. Baby Bob (CBS) - pretty much cancelled

 

7. Reba (WB) - might as well be cancelled

Shows how much people care about "Quality family programming"

 

And we know for a fact that families do not all gather around the tv to watch PAX (and if you are under age 40 and watch PAX you should be ashamed of yourself..) only old people do since thats probably the most inoffensive programming you can find and most old people would rather not watch tv than be *offended*.

First of all Pax, is NOT a cable station. It's a network just like WB or UPN is. NBC backs it, not CBS. That's why NBC programming reruns on there. Last summer they did a lot of swapping where Pax shows would air on NBC and NBC shows would air on Pax.

 

My grandfather invested in that crap. Luckily he got out before it even aired. But he got a free trip to vegas out of it.

 

Secondly, a lot of people don't seem to understand this list. This is the PTC. They are not saying what shows are "good" or "bad". They are talking about family values. They put Baby Bob on there, not because they think it's a good show, but because it's a show that the whole family can watch and it won't offend anybody. So the best 10 is the list of the most family suited shows and the worst 10 are the most un-family friendly shows. It has nothing to do with being a good show or not. So saying bitching because good shows are on the worst list doesn't mean anything because they're not talking about quality.

This is why any top/bottom 10 list compiled by any entity that has some sort of corporate agenda has no bearing in eyes. Lists like this with no apparent research or logic in how best and worst are determined always beg the question, "Who's lining your wallet?"

 

I don't watch TV much and didn't even know 5 of the PTC's Top 10 existed (Doc, Baby Bob, Reba, The Ponderosa and George Lopez) compared to knowing about all the shows on their Bottom 10 sans one (Off Centre, which I'm assuming is relatively new.)
