Guest ShooterJay Report post Posted August 23, 2002 I went to the TV studio I used to intern at yesterday to visit my buddy, who coproduces the "Lobsterman's All-Star 'Rasslin" TV show with me and is also a NE indy worker. I came in expecting to find out the time slot for the show this September on WNDS, the NH state cable station. Imagine my shock when I find out that the promotion blew most of their money on tours of Mexico and California, and can't pay the station to air the in an informercial slot until JANUARY. By then, the footage will be almost 10 months old. Most of the talent, including the champion, a 9-year vet, is thinking of quitting. Scott Dickinson, a former WCW ref, is now booking, and is bringing in Bob Evans (he's actually on the DVDVR 500) to replace the champ as the top draw, a guy that almost everyone in the locker room hates. Getting back to the show, we're still airing in on public access (aka death), but the worst part of it is, they're CUTTING OUT OUR PARTS. Yes, I was fired as PBP guy (my buddy was color), despite being promised total creative control, being hailed as the best promo guy the company has, and promises of an expanded role, possibly a heel turn and a manager spot. The reason- we were "breaking kayfabe too much." Yes, I broke the cardinal rule of wrestling and said the deadly insider term "bump" during a couple of matches. On a related note, the guys on the Mexico and Cali tours had to pay their own way, and ended up working the shows for free because the promoters promised Damien 666, Halloween, and Psicosis, who were working these shows, way too much money. The end result of this mess is, they'll probably close up shop here in move to Cali full time (not a bad idea, because our biggest crowd was 60 people), running spot shows in the meantime. So, as of tomorrow, I'm quitting as Associate Producer of the show. After 100 hours of work on this show, I will get no TV exposure and no money. FUCK YOU LOBSTERMAN. -Thanks for reading this rant, I had to get all of that off my chest, and let this be a lesson, if you want to break into the wrestling business, do it with someone at least halfway reputable. RIP "Jayson Klifton"

Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted August 23, 2002 I've seen a Bob Evans match from ECWA. He is pretty good in the ring. As for Lobsterman, you're better off without him. There are plenty of other Indie feds in the NE. I personally have only seen a WWA show, which was pretty interesting because a lot of future WWF stars were working there at the time.
