Baseball fans take action

I got this idea from this article - baseball fans go on strike on Aug 28, no one go to those games, make the ballpark 100% customer free.

The idea has been done to death every time there a threat of a labour dispute, but I figured I'd bring it up. It would send a clear message to the players and owners, they can't be dumb enough to not realize the repercussions of another player strike, but sometimes a visual is needed to drive a point into their heads.

I have Sept 7 tickets for the Red Sox vs. Baltimore, so I'll be *pissed* if they go on strike.

Decent idea, but if you take out the fact everyones' forked out the money for the tickets, I doubt they would just say "Oh well" and rip them up.

Oh yeah, I think the fans in Montreal have been taking this advice for the past 2 years considering no one goes to their games in the first place.

If the strike isn't resolved I want to go the last game of the year in Toronto and just boo both of them

Fuck you Bobby, the only reason that attendances were low in the Big O is because of bad management by one Jeffrey Loria (No TV or radio deal, bad teams, no payroll). You want more proofs? Look at this year's Marlins. Attendences are lower than the Expos. Thank you Jeffrey...

I've seen a million fan boycotts like this, and none of them ever gather any kind of useful support. Besides, many teams could get by on the strength of their season ticket sales, which they get regardless of how many games the purchaser attends.
