Man, I just now got into playing GTA 3 because my friend has a PS 2 and I don't. I've been going over to his house and I'm only 22 missions into it! AHHHH! How long do I have to beat it before GTA 4 comes out, and one more thing, didn't XBox supposedly have GTA 3 coming, just really late?

Vice City comes out October 22. Early on Rockstar said GTA3 would go to Xbox, but it's changed since then after Sony announced GTA exclusive to PS2 until 2004. Rockstar has said that Vice City will still come to PC just like every other GTA game.

Well son of a bitch. Oh well, upon hearing Smackdown 4 will include Steve Austin, I will buy a Playstation 2, (been wanting one anyway) and eagerly anticipate GTA 4 as I finish up the third installment, from there on it's stunners for everyone for a few months.

I got the Game Informer today and read the article and it says that GTA Vice City fixes all of the problems I had with GTA3. You can go into buildings, you can ride motorcycles(with good realism it says), improved aiming, improved out of car control, improved hand-to-hand combat, improved control in water vehicles, more weapons, more cars, and the ability to explore the whole city from the beginning. This may be the perfect game. Another item of note, for the first time in the Grand Theft Auto Series, the main character has a name(Tommy Vercetti) and he will talk(voice done by Ray Liotta of Goodfellas!). I think all of this will add greatly to what was already my favorite game of all time. They really went all out with this game.

BTW Dan, this isn't GTA 4 per se, it's kind of a "sidestory".

 

Looks like it will rock though, and Liotta is a major coup for Rockstar

A couple more items of note that I didnt mention.

 

The police will actually go after other criminals. That's right, not every police car will be after you. This will make it interesting because when you have a low warning level and you see a cop speeding up behind you there's no real way to tell if he's coming for you or someone else.

 

PIZZA DELIVERY MISSIONS!!!!!!!! Yeah, a new added extra mission, supposed to be one of many but the only one Rockstar will reveal.

Real 80s music from well-known artists. Soundtrack is 9 hours long. By comparison, the great soundtrack from GTA3 was 4 hours long. Confirmed songs:

You can shoot out tires which will drastically slow down cars.

 

I guess more and more will be pouring in over the next 2 months before it comes out. Does anyone else think I'm way too excited about this game?

You can go inside buildings as well, the assassination missions will include crowded area hits, where you can get close up without notice pull the trigger and run.
