Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 On one hand he would add some star power to TNA, more specifically the X-Division. On the other he could be backstage poison. You decide.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 I voted no on this one. Signing guys like Sanders, EZ Money, etc. who never got a real shot on WWE TV will be good for TNA, because they can market them as homegrown stars. Signing every "big name reject" that gets cast off from Titan-land would make the NWA seem second rate. Also, while he still may be able to put on a decent match when motivated, this is not the Waltman of old (not in the ring at least). And Brian Lawler has enough of a stale look and offense for my taste, so why waste money by having X-Punk do the same thing every other week?
Guest ISportsFan Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 I voted no. There are just too many X-Division guys, like Styles and Lynn and Lo-Ki and Red, etc., that would be stopped by the politically dominant X-Pac. He has his way with writers, and he ended up doing well with Russo in power in WWE. This would probably be no different. Jason
Guest $leepwalka Posted August 23, 2002 Report Posted August 23, 2002 I voted yes, I like the guy. Well, only when he's motivated, like in the early-mid 90's. Damn, I voted in the wrong box.
Guest midnight_burn Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 I vote no, i'd rather not see Mr. Waltman in NWA:TNA.
Guest CanadianChick Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 I voted no...TNA doesn't need him...they have enough talented guys already.
Guest Extreme Forever Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 I'd Like to see him there so he can get treated properly and wont have backstge Politics.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 I vote yes. Besides bringing more name recognition, when he's on, he's excellent. This will get him motivated, he realizes that he has to work hard and impress to make it back to WWE. And, he'll have no backstage power since his buddies like HHH and Nash are no where to be seen. Without them poisoning him, he won't be trouble. I vote yes for the kid in NWA TNA.
Guest TheRockIsTheEuropeanChampion Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 I voted for "if he's motivated", even though he probably wouldn't be if/when he gets on NWA-TNA. I mean, if he wasn't motivated enough to do good work with his friends around, making a lot of money in WWE, then why would he be motivated with just Hall around and less money? He's 30; he's been wrestling for years. He probably feels like he's too old to basically start all over again and really work in TNA. Though Slapnuts00 makes a better point; if his attitude is good, then he'll do great. I'd love to see him working again...
Guest eirejmcmahon Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 Given their current financial position, I doubt they could afford him.
Guest SlowChemical6 Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 I voted yes. Now the Kliq can extend its influence to NWA-TNA!
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 If he's motivated he can add some star power and decent matches to the program.
Guest Mad Dog Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 I think in a tag team with Scott Hall he would be excellent. The division needs some teams and you could say that they are an established team of sorts. If he would be in the X-Division than no. He's too injury prone after all the neck injuries to not get hurt by the likes of Red, Low Ki or Jerry Lynn. And he really can't keep up with them. So it depends on how he's used really.
