From 411:

The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced today that former WWE IC Champion/NWA Champion Ken Shamrock will take on UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz as part of UFC 40: Vendetta, live on PPV from Las Vegas, NV, on Friday, November 22nd.

Ortiz is regarded as the UFC's best - and most marketable - fighter, while this will mark Shamrock's first UFC bout since December of 1996.

Tickets go on-sale tomorrow at the Box Office and Ticketmaster and the PPV will go for $30.

This was announced a while back. I'm kind of looking forward to it, but Shamrock has no chance at all. Tito will knock him out in the first round.

Tito will knock him out in the first round.

That's a bold statement.

I liked Shammy in UFC and in WWF...in NWA he seemed soooo bland...so it's a good move for him I guess

It's only a 3 show deal and he probably will get his ass kicked at least once.

Ultimate fighting seems to be where Shamrock's heart is anyway. He didn't make that great of a champion in the NWA and so this change with probably be good for him.

Shamrock lost a match with Don Frye, in Pride, why does he still think he can fight in UFC? Ortiz will destroy Ken Wayne Shamrock.
