Guest shlidgn90 Report post Posted August 24, 2002 when six feet under originally aired last year. i thought that hbo was letting this show ride off the sopranos coattails. this was before i watched any episode, and i must say that i was completly wrong. six feet under maybe the best show on hbo. btw, hbo is by far the best network on television right now. they have five of the best shows airing right now(real sports, six feet under, oz, the wire, sex and the city and the sopranos). their second tier shows like arliss and that mike binder show are pretty good also. Guest TheRockIsTheEuropeanChampion Report post Posted August 24, 2002 HBO is my favourite channel for, well, ANY programming because of those shows. I've been watching almost all of them for a year now. It's really fantastic original programming, and I wish more channels could/would make intelligent shows like HBO does. My favourite of the bunch is Oz, but I watch SFU whenever it's on. The characters are actually kinda realistic, which is becoming more and more rare for other television shows... When do the new seasons for Sopranos/SFU/Oz start, anyway?
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted August 24, 2002 Six feet under?> It's probably the greatest show I have ever seen or will ever be made. That is all.
Guest Anorak Report post Posted August 24, 2002 I'd heard good things about the show just before it started here in England on Channel 4 and to be perfectly honest I was a bit dissapointed when I finally watched it. The whole tone of the show just seemed a bit too contrived to me if you get my meaning, it was so self-consciously quirky and deadpan that soon became irritating to watch. The script was certainly nothing special and seemed to lack any particular wit or insight, it just came across as a show that was rather too pleased with itself for simply being 'different' when in reality it wasn't particularly inspired on any level. I didn't think it was a bad show by any means and i'm sure its one of the better dramas on American television but for me it doesn't stand up to Oz or The Soprano's as an essential tv import. Guest SpiritualRemains Report post Posted August 25, 2002 When do the new seasons for Sopranos/SFU/Oz start, anyway? Sopranos: September 15. Oz: 2003, probably January if season 5 was an indication. Six Feet Under: ?
