The man runs off, leaving "Hollywood" Spike Jenkins alone, sitting there, catching his breath. Sitting there in a local gym, preparing for his match. His match with a stable-mate. His match with a Friend. Sitting there. Barely noticing that the trainer was gone. Sitting there. In deep thought about what is going on with his friends...

 

What the hell is his problem... , Spike thought to himself. Why the hell wouldn't he lay down for me. Let me move on to get a title shot, at a title that should be mine now. I understand I am the new guy here and all, and that he is the leader. But his time is up. It's my time to shine. I'm the person people want to see. I thought he understood that. I don't know... Maybe I should lie down for him, letting him get the title shot. But I deserve that title damnit. I would have it now.....if it wasn't for him. He is just jealous of me. That's what it is. He is jealous of my talent. He wishes he could be me. That's why he robbed me of the title in the first place. That's why he wants me to lie down for him. To let him get the easy win. But I wont do that. No. I got bigger plans for him. He is going to step in the ring, and see my talent. I am going to have to hurt my own friend...is he my friend? A friend wouldn't be jealous of your talents. A friend wouldn't rob you out of something you worked so hard for.

 

Spike wipes the sweat from his forehead. He looks around the gym, looking around for that idiot trainer that is supposed to have his water. Are any of them my friends? Mak knew about what Matt said. Matt told it to him, for Christ's sakes. But why couldn't Mak tell me? Does Mak think he is to good for me? Why did Mak have to send Tony to tell me? And why did Tony talk down to me? Like I was nothing.

 

The idiot trainer runs back up to Spike, with a bottle of water in his hand.

 

"Here Spike..."

 

"Took you long enough....HEY! THIS ISN'T MINERAL WATER LIKE I WANTED."

 

"I'm sorry Spike, I forgot..."

 

"GO GET ME A FUCKING MINERAL WATER YOU FUCKING IDIOT."

 

The trainer runs off, as everyone in the gym just stares at Spike, like he just killed someone. But he pays no attention to them, and goes back to his thoughts. This is all Edwin's fault. He is trying to kill us. He is trying to brain wash us. Booking us against each other. Trying to tear us apart. But I wont let him. He may get to the others. Matt. Tony. Even Mak. He can get them all. But I wont let him get me. No way in hell. Edwin will realize, that he has fucked with the wrong person. No one realizes it, but my future is bright. I will get my title back. Spike forgets about the trainer, and quickly walks out of the building, without looking at anyone. The trainer runs back to where Spike was sitting.

 

 

"Mr. Jenkins, here is your water.....Spike? Where did he go?"

I already said this but your first board promo is the first truly serious one you did. Could this be a brand new dimension to Spike Jenkins. I love these two promos that you and Matt did. They link so well and hopefully I'll be able to live up to them if and when I do one of my own.

First board promo, and you've already got the brooding RP-esqe italics THING~! going on.

 

Good stuff, Spike. The grammar in Spike's thoughts was a little wonky at times, but that wasn't too big of a detractor. I mentioned in my comment on Matt's promo how I'm liking this whole sWo clash-y thing, what with the egos and paranioa and what not. I also love when people build on promos with other promos. That's always a plus.

 

It could use a little polish, but an all-around solid promo.
