Guest razazteca Report post Posted August 24, 2002 well I left out the Von Erichs because they were cursed just like the Armstrongs  actually I just forgot about them, too bad they died young, with Kevin basically just doing benefit shows now.
Guest TheRockIsTheEuropeanChampion Report post Posted August 25, 2002 I was just going to ask about the Armstrongs. Â I voted for the Guerreros, because I've only seen two of the Harts wrestle... Though, they were the best... Gee.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Report post Posted August 25, 2002 Arn and Ole weren't really related though..were they? I thought I read that somewhere......
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted August 25, 2002 Arn and Ole weren't really related though..were they? I thought I read that somewhere...... Â no no no...they were...yeah, CW too. Â You have the fictional Anderson clan and you leave out the Von Erics... Â BAH!
Guest razazteca Report post Posted August 25, 2002 as Steve Martin would say "Exccccccccccccuse me" well they fit the part as Arn, Ole, CW are all bald  Youth N Asia well outside of the WCCW what makes them so great? Other than the Ric Flair matches what has David or Kerry done to deserve so much appeal?
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted August 25, 2002 And outside of Mexico does the average fan know more then two Guerreros? Â Just having some fun with it...nothing personal man
Guest razazteca Report post Posted August 25, 2002 Eddy does/did work for WWE, WCW, ECW and that fed in England. Â Hector was in the Global or Universal fed in the 80s and I think I might of seen him on a WCW World Wide show. Â I fear the Claw, did you know that Fritz used to break basketballs with The Power of the Grip, lol

Other than the Ric Flair matches what has David or Kerry done to deserve so much appeal? Maybe you should rephrase the question to read, greatest wrestling families that marks have seen as I doubt many remember the multiple wrestling families out there. To name a few:  1) Fritz Von Erich (father), Kevin/David/Kerry/Mike/Chris (sons) 2) Gene and Ole Anderson (brothers), Arn (nephew), CW (nephew) Yes people they were all related..... 3) Dory Funk Sr (father), Dory Jr/ Terry Funk (sons) 4) Jack and Jerry Brisco (brothers) 5)Stu Hart (father), Brett/Owen and for the life of me I dont remember the others, no disrespect meant. 6)Gory Guerrero (father) Mando/Chavo/Eddie/Hector (sons), Chavo Jr (grandson)  Not to forget the Rougeou Brothers, Armstrongs, Jimmy and Jerry Valiant, Steiner Brothers and countless others.  As for what have the Von Erichs offered, well they were the main wrestlers in Texas in the 80's, Kerry is former NWA World Champ beating Flair, as well as IC Champ beating Mr Perfect, involved in one of the great feuds in wrestling history against the Von Erichs, and regardless of which Von Erich was facing Race or Flair for the world title, it was covered by the major kayfabe magazines at the time and had a huge fan following in the US due to Fritz syndication deal. Guest gwf0704 Report post Posted August 25, 2002 Ooops!!! Meant to say the Von Erichs were involved in one of the greatest feuds (5 yrs if I can recall) in one form or another against the Freebirds.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted August 25, 2002 CW is not related...he's said so in interviews...does look like one though. Â He said in an interview in WOW magazine that he heard Arn has said that he'd heard he was a good worker and that if he was going to use the name he'd better be able to back it up. Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted August 25, 2002 I'll go with the Harts, simply because I've been much more exposed to them than the Guerreros (other than Eddy and Chavo Jr.). The Andersons aren't really related, I never really cared for the Armstrongs other than Brad in his earlier days, and never saw much special about the Von Erichs. Guest razazteca Report post Posted August 25, 2002 maybe it should be stated as the Families of the 90s, lol.  I also forgot the Lawlers  one of the Harts brothers is Bruce  and you forgot cousin Lance Von Erich

Guest razazteca Report post Posted August 25, 2002 just remember the other Hart Brother is Keith  The Andersons may or may not be related but that is a moot point as everybody is telling me that I am wrong. The Anderson name is one of excellance just like the other 2 in the poll, as there was an Anderson in the "Big 3" of WWE, WCW, ECW. The Anderson name was always seen as a champion in the tag team ranks as Arn was champ in WCW forever and WWF, CW took a comedy team of Simon & Swinger and made them into a team that could be a threat for the tag title. Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted August 25, 2002 You could also put the Windhams in there with Barry, Kendall and Blackjack Mulligan as their father. Â I also remember reading that Arn and CW were in no way related to Gene and Ole. But wasn't there a Lars Anderson at some point too?
Guest gwf0704 Report post Posted August 26, 2002 I remember reading a shoot interview with CW in WOW magazine where he states he is Arn's cousin but these days shoot interviews sometimes sound like character interviews so he is questionable I guess but Arn is related in real life to Ole and Gene Anderson as he is the son of one of their sisters and I think in true life Ric Flair is related to them in some manner. Â Â And maybe you should have rephrased it as wrestling families who wrestled in the Big 3 (or 4 if you count ECW) as people seem to discount the Von Erichs, as well, but technically you would discount the Harts as only Brett and Owen wrestled regularly in the Big 3 (4) as the others were mostly in Stampede wrestling. Just my 2 cents....

But wasn't there a Lars Anderson at some point too? I forgot the Windhams/Mulligan.  There was a Lars Anderson but I don't remember if he was related or even supposed to be related.I remember him from the Maivia promotion in Hawaii. He was a big name there in the mid 80's>they used to show their shows on some station with a blue financial ticker that used to run across the bottom of the screen. And they had Bruiser Brody vs Antonio Inoki! Guest Jayson_Hart Report post Posted August 29, 2002 The Andersons are not related....Ole , Arn, and CW are not related they have all said that...and if you look up their real names anywhere you can tell they are not related
Guest Slingshot Suplex Report post Posted August 29, 2002 According to his book,Arn doesn't even meet Ole until he goes to his first Georgia Championship Wrestling tv taping to wrestle Bob Armstrong so if they're family, they weren't very close
Guest Mad the Swine Report post Posted August 29, 2002 Arn Anderson: Marty Lunde. Raised in Rome, GA. Has stated before he didn't have much of a family as a kid. Arn didn't meet Ole until about 1983. Â Ole Anderson: Alan Rogowski. I think, but am not positive that he is from Minnesota. Â Lars Anderson: Larry Heiniemi. Â Ric Flair: Richard Fliehr. From Edina, MN. Â None of these four or C.W. Anderson are related to any of the others. I'm 100% absolutely positive about that.
