Guest HBK16 Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 I like NJ's juniors. But I had to vite for Toryumon. They are the best.
Guest BigTim2002 Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 Right now, NJPW is doing some really cool stuff, and Toryumon continues to be solid as hell. Now all time, it's all about AJPW. But for right now, I like what Toryumon and NJPW are doing.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted August 24, 2002 Report Posted August 24, 2002 New Japan, because I love the classic Juniors' stuff, but for heavies, I like AJPW much more.
Guest Grenouille Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 The greatest of all time in my mind will always be All Japan before the split. Right now though, I'd have to go with New Japan. It seems with every new tape of NJ I get, I like it more and more.
Guest wolverine Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 WAY before the split. All Japan hasn't had a great match since the Kawada-Kobashi 6/12/98 TC switch. And realistically, it hasn't been the best all-around promotion in the world since the early to mid 90's.
Guest TopSecretMan Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Zenjo still, but it's getting closer.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 I went with Toryumon. it combines puro with Lucha with SE. It may not be perfect, but it's my fav.
Guest wolverine Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Who's getting closer to Zenjo? I would've said that also, but I figured they were just talking about the men's groups.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Who's getting closer to Zenjo? I would've said that also, but I figured they were just talking about the men's groups. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Joshi. (Spell?) I mean I never saw any real reason to get into it.
Guest wolverine Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Well, I'm not a big fan of Keiji Mutoh. I never really saw a reason to get into him or his ridiculously overrated matches last year.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Well, I'm not a big fan of Keiji Mutoh. I never really saw a reason to get into him or his ridiculously overrated matches last year. Who said I was a fan? I like his avatar. Do you mind? Seriously, you're like the most negative poster here, and you can't handle the simple fact that everytime someone says "I don't like Joshi." it's not a personal insult against you. Grow the hell up.
Guest wolverine Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Take the trolling shit elsewhere. You're stating your opinion, I'm stating mine. Never any harm done.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 You could say I'm trolling. I could say you're flaming. We could say a lot of things. But really come on you started this. I said I didn't like Puro and you took this as a reason to flame Mutoh (God knows why, I just like the damn avatar.) and now I'M A FUCKING TROLL? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight
Guest wolverine Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Trust me, I enjoy flaming Mutoh every chance I get. No offense, but I think he sucks, and he's a lazy bastard who completely destroyed what was once my favorite company. And that's about it. Carry on with the discussion.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Trust me, I enjoy flaming Mutoh every chance I get. No offense, but I think he sucks, and he's a lazy bastard who completely destroyed what was once my favorite company. And that's about it. Carry on with the discussion. Yeah. And I have no problem with that. But you SEEMED to do it in retaliation. And I didn't flame Woman's wrestling. I just said I didn't like it. Big difference.
Guest wolverine Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Sounds good to me. No big deal. I guess you're new around here, because I've been dissing Mutoh on these boards for a long time. I like good wrestling, which he doesn't provide. End of story.
Guest Joshi Guerrero Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 I never get it when people say they 'don't see the point in' or 'have no reason to watch' joshi, It's wrestling, It's often very good, Why not watch it? Are you a wrestling fan or what?
Guest wolverine Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Just forget it. There isn't any point in continuing this because it just goes nowhere. We know what we like and he knows what he likes.
Guest Jubuki Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 No point in CONTINUING it? There was no point in STARTING it. Where are the NEW IDEAS? Somebody! Say SOMETHING! That hasn't been ripped off from someone else! !!
Guest BionicRedneck Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 erm...er...Kamala is the greatest wrestler in Puro history! (Surely no-one has said that before, right?) seriously though, I agree.
Guest Black Tiger Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 I don't know if I'm just watching the wrong stuff but I can't get into AJPW. The only stuff I've seen so far that I've liked is early 1990's Misawa. Wolverine, have you seen any of FMW's Joshi? I liked Megumi Kudo vs Combat Toyota from 5/5/96 but so far nothing else from them has done anything for me.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 I always enjoyed AJPW until about 98. Theres some awesome matches there.
Guest wolverine Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 Here's a new idea. Akira Fukuzawa didn't announce the Taue-Bubba 7/29/93 match.
Guest wolverine Posted August 25, 2002 Report Posted August 25, 2002 No, I haven't seen any FMW Joshi.
Guest hesburl@arabiaclose Posted September 4, 2002 Report Posted September 4, 2002 At the moment there is only one contender in my mind for my favourite puro promotion, in my opinion. That promotion is BCW - the only puro promotion featuring The Special Attack. Now take your time to read probably one of the greatest articles ever written involving the world of professional wrestling: nWo the great idea!
Guest BlackRainbow1025 Posted September 12, 2002 Report Posted September 12, 2002 I voted Toryumon b/c well, they might not be the best persay, but they are my favorite, mainly b/c of SUWA, CIMA, and Darkness Dragon. I like what Joshi I have seen, especialy Ayako Hamada but that's not ONLY her skill I'm fond of. Megumi Kudo is another talented and very beautiful favorite of mine, hehe.
