Crush leaving the WWF

I'm about an hour through watching IYH19 for the first time. Not actually as bad as I had been anticipating so far. Taka Michinoku could have been so over if given quality opposition...

Anyway, my question is that during the Russo Gang Warz brainfart, the umpteenth outing between DOA and Los Boricuas here, Crush had just upped and vanished leaving his team outnumbered. JR's line was that Kane had put him out of action, but when I think about it I don't recall seeing him again in the WWF before he showed up for the opposition. What gave, as he was fairly over with the biker gimmick at the time?

Geez, Bischoff actually pursued him? Crazy. That man had way too much money. Oh well, thanks for the info - was hoping there would be some juicy tale of intrigue and deception, but I guess nothing about Crush is even vaguely interesting...

IYH19 is having its moments. Early Outlaws stuff is hilarious, though Road Dogg completely carried Billy's useless carcass. And Mr Ass got the singles run with Rocky? Silly Vince.

Somewhere, I read that he left over the whole Bret Hart thing. He was the only non-Hart that actually went through with the walkout or something...

WCW paying him more money sounds legitimate, though.

My theory - it's Brian Adams, so who cares? :D

A lot of it had to do with the Bret Hart ordeal. The other half was Vince wasn't using this guy for anything I mean the DOA? And wcw offered him more money. I just recently saw a kronic match from all japan and they're so over it's great.

Big Bad Bri' is good friends with Bret Hart, I think he was one of the only ones to leave because of the Montreal Deal

Okay, leaving McMahonland after Montreal is a good enough reason, I'll have that one. Thanks, people.

In an additional IYH19 queery, why did they even bother signing Jeff Jarrett back if they were just going to make him look like such a jackass slapnuts striaght out of the blocks? Silly Vince.

Remember when Adam's first appeared on WCW TV, and had him and Bret shake hands before turning on him? I guess that was an inside angle from people in the know, because at the time I was confused as piss. Mean Gene acted like Adams was the anti-christ for turning on his good friend Bret Hart - when to the average viewer, they had never even seem them together once previously

He wasnt, it was just that no-one in the locker room really wanted to work with him

Dont ask me why though

After Montreal, Adams and Rick Rude were the "non-Harts" who left the company.

Others who didn't agree withe screwjob (such as Mick Foley) simply boycotted RAW the following night but returned the following week

Didn't Adams have some kind of drug problem earlier on?

I remember when I first heard that Crush was on WCW TV. I was trying to figure out why Brian Adams(the singer) was on WCW TV, and seemingly heel. Of course, when I figured out it was Crush, I was like, "Oh him...Why are they giving him a big push? He sucks." Too bad though. I remember during his face run in the WWF as Kona Crush, I felt he could have been something big. The WWF really dropped with that one.

Rude was gone before that

I think it was all part of the talent stealing which was big during that time. Why Brian Adams I have no idea.

Well, he went to prison for a year or so... I thought that was related to some illegal firearms or something.

Or maybe that's what the WWF said about it? I wasn't watching until 1996, when he was "Jailbird" Crush.

Nope, he wasn't...

Rude helped Michaels and HHH beat up Shamrock the next night (Monday)

Then came the tuesday taping of RAW, Rude was there too...then he left

The following Monday, he was on BOTH Nitro and Raw

As the newest NWO member, he used that first appearance on Nitro to badmouth the WWF for screwing their "NWO brother" Bret (whom the NWO claimed to have on their side...remember the Canadian flags all over every member the night after SSeries)

I think I'm the only person in the world whose favourite wrestler is Crush. Anywhoo, the reasoning for his leaving was this: A few people protested the treatment of Hart. Most notably, Mankind, and a few others voiced their displeasure-as I'm pretty sure the Taker did.

Adams was one of them. Vince just chose him to make an example of because he was expendable. He fired Adams basically to say "Listen, it's my decision to do what I did, now shut up or you'll get fired like Crush." And thats the long story short.

Rude just went for more money. That had nothing to do with the Bret thing I don't believe.

I heard that he used the screwjob as an excuse to leave for the greener pastures of WCW, seeing as he and Bret weren't that close.
