They built the whole company around HHH in 2000.

Had they made Rock #1...then we'd have a better idea of what he's got well on top.

But everything, including the ROck, revolved around HHH in 2000.

But it was built around HHH the heel. even with as much stroke as HHH had, I bet you it burned him to no end that Rock had the merchandise, tv deals, movie deal, SNL, etc. based on star power. Even with the mega-push Trips is gonna receive now he still is not anywhere close to where the Rock is. That's why I give rops to the Rock. Even when everything was built around someone else, in almost everyone's eyes, the ROCK was the man! Trips may have had the smark appreciation, but the fame was in the Rock's hands. And the WWF gave Trips everything.

Funny you should mention that:

It's being reported by everyone that HHH is looking for more opportunities to do TV and Movies.

It's going to be kinda hard for HHH to get parts in TV & movies. Since he doesn't have the looks of The Rock. And in Hollywood...it's all about looks.

He doesn't care.

He's a glory hog.

hahaha

exactly, even with Trips' power, he doesn't capture the imagination of the masses like Rock, Austin, Flair or even Hogan. McMahon thinks he's the standard for the WWF and his giving him mega-push after push but the fans are clear on who they want to see. I would be curious on the official numbers on HHH merchandise. How over is HHH as a face?

Read my house show report.

He's quite over...but it explains how.

where's your house show report?

And you, me, SK, whoever have already determined that they, the WWF ,decide who they want over. And usually it works, but sometimes wrestlers say F*** that and get over on sheer willpower (austin, rvd). I never said that HHH wasn't over, just that he doesn't capture the hearts of the public or have that genuine heat that says we will follow you religiously.

Here's what it said about this subject:

Angle got great heat.  HHH's pop:  I've figured it out, now that I've sat in the arena for it.  His initaial pop for his music was smaller than the RVD pop... Then HHH milks it for several minutes.  The pop starts to fade from the music...so he comes out of the enterance way.  The pop starts to fade from that...he poses...the pop starts to fade from that...he does the spit water thing...the pop fades, he poses in the ring.  So he has the LONGEST pop...but not the biggest...RVD's was bigger...he just doesn't have forever to stand around and collect it.  That's why RVD's matches always start with a huge RVD chant...the crowd isn't finished cheering for him.  Don't get me wrong.  HHH got a huge pop.  But it was the 3rd biggest  (Loud wise) of the night.  RVD was #2.

You know what's friggin scary is if they try to use some of those house show matches for Mania. Booker vs. Rikishi? Gimme a break! Mr. Perfect vs. RVD. May be decent but I don't care for Perfect anymore. He had his time.

Mark my words: Most disappointing Mania ever coming your way!
