I was always wondering what everyones opinion you would be for the one manager who always ment that someone was gonna suck.

Inmy view, none other then Mr. Harvey Wippleman (Whifleman when i was younger lol). Easily because look at who he managed?

ahem.....

Well Dunn

Adam bomb

Kwang

Big Bully Busick

Giant Gonzalez

Mr. Hughes

Sid Justice (only over one)

Bertha Faye

Kamala

If i forgot any tell me.

Also, his only champion was a WOMAN! And she was just so untalented it makes me cry.

Its funny, he won the same title in january 2000. Now thats spookey!

It's DOCTOR HARVEY WHIPPLEMAN not "Mr. Harvey Whippleman"

How about his feud with ring announcer Howard Finkel? Oh and he also managed the Warlord after Slick left the WWF in 1991

How could i forgot those! Tuxedo Matches with Finkel gave me nightmares for a bout 5 years, and i never realized he managed Warlord. Learned somethin new.

Harvey managed a lot of crappy guys. Remember the angle he did to become a WWF referee?

(sarcasitally) Thanks for the reminder. He would scout matches and take notes on his clipboard. He also was a shitty official.

Actually, wasn't Bertha Faye supposed to be pretty good & badass as Monster Ripper? I've never seen her outside of the WWF, so I can't tell you first-hand, but I've read that in a few places. Bret Hart wrote about it in his column about her. Maybe he was just trying to be nice, but who knows. Has anyone here seen Rhonda Singh in Japan or wherever?

Yes,I agree that usually when Harvey Whippleman was someone's manager you knew that wrestlers career was going or going to go downhill!!!

Thanks.

On the old Wrestlecrap message board (which was sadly shut down in September without explanation from the owner), Harvey was something of a cult icon.  It got to the point where many people were posting polls that had three responses: "Yes, No, Harvey Wippleman".   Stupid? Yes.  Did it get old quickly?  Yes.  Was it funny?  Yeah, pretty much.

Wow,that's kind of weird,I mean Harvey with a fun person AT TIMES,but I never thought of him as I icon.

Thanks.

For the most part, ANY manager in the 80's WWF not named Elizabeth or Heenan spelled trouble for whoever they were managing.

Slick's guy never won anything....and when he became the Reverend Slick, his career went to hell.

Yeah, but he can be forgiven, because he's a jive soul bro.  (Does funky dance)

"Well I met this lady and I told her quite a story, said I'd love her forerver more,

But the trouble is I tell the same old story to ev'ry girl that walks through the door!

This is the Slickster talkin' at ya, honey!"

Teddy Long managing you in WCW meant you were a guaranteed JTTS

(I'm talking late 90s. not when he managed Doom of course)
