Eddy Guerrero has been signed to work the upcoming New Japan Pro Wrestling tour in March. The tour will be called "Hyper Battle 2002" and Guerrero will be participating in NJPW's Junior Heavyweight division.

The dream matches abound with Eddy in the junior division.  If NJPW's holds its working agreement with M PRO, you "could" see:

 

Eddy vs Sasuke

Eddy vs TMIV (that's the big one for me)

Eddy vs Tanaka

Eddy vs Lyger (have they had a singles match since BOSJ 1996 finals?)

Eddy vs Kanemoto (who's the bigger prick?)

 

Of course there are a host of other great matches but these ones come foremost in my mind.

It won't be as Black Tiger though, since Silver King has been using that gimmick in NJPW and EMLL this year... unless they want to book a Black Tiger v Black Tiger feud, culminating in a mask v mask bout...!

I am already salivating at the thought of Eddy returning to boost the Junior division. Hell, I don't care if he has a mask or not, I want to see Eddy back in the arenas and stadiums, not in some high school gym selling autographs like he was the HonkyTonk Man! Justin nailed it. There are so many great matches to look forward to!

Wow, this could be REALLY good. Maybe, they could even get some Tourymon guys, like CIMA, Dragon Kid, Magnum Tokyo. I agree, Justin, that TMIV vs. Eddy would be an almost guranteed great match. Also, I believe that Eddy vs. Liger would be excellent, but in a different manner then in their last meeting at BOSJ '96. Eddy was just peaking here, and Liger was damn good too. Liger, now possesing around half his aresnal....(which is about twice as much as any other wrestler in the world), but MASTER storytelling abilities, Eddy and him should be able to pull of a great one.

Good to hear he's going to be with a major fed..since he didn't get the shot he deserved over here. Think he'll get a contract anywhere?
