Guest Shanghai Kid 2002 Report post Posted August 27, 2002 Alright, from a smarks perspective, would you say that HBK actually carried HHH at Summerslam? If he did, that seems pretty sad on HHH's part.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted August 27, 2002 I wouldn't really say HBK carried HHH or HHH carried HBK. I think both guys went out there and did there thing. HBK had his moments and HHH tried to make them look good, despite what some people may say. I do believe both guys looked somewhat "out of it" during the opening minutes, but I think they both pulled it together with each other's help. Basically, a match like that takes 2 people to do. 1 carrying it wouldn't do really good.
Guest alfdogg Report post Posted August 27, 2002 Hmm...good question. But I'd have to watch again to know for sure.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted August 27, 2002 Both guys did their parts. Shawn had to go out there and get the job done. HHH had to sell and make a MANLY BLADE JOB.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted August 27, 2002 I'll say this. I didn't like the match... but... HHH didn't look bad. But HBK looked better (despite the selling thing) I don't rate the match high enough for one man to carry the other. There was about 30 seconds or so between each move...I think they got by. Guest HossSauce Report post Posted August 27, 2002 HBK supplied the heat, HHH supplied the protection, they both told the story. It was a joint effort, but it was HBK that got the match over with the Nassau Coliseum crowd. They ate up anything and everything that he did.
Guest massivHEDtrauma Report post Posted August 27, 2002 I don't think he did. I mean, HBK definitely had good spots, but so did HHH. I think both men were pretty on top of their game in the match, which is, y'know, odd for HHH as he hasn't turned in a decent performance in a good long while. Maybe he's finally fully healed. Or maybe the SHAVED FACE~! had something to do with it...

If there's one thing HHH is good for, it's bleeding!
Guest Brian Report post Posted August 27, 2002 HHH worked the methodical style at the start, HBK knew when to let the story unfold of him becoming HBK, the selling was crap, and it seemed HBK was calling the transitions.

Guest godthedog Report post Posted August 27, 2002 seemed to me, at least at the beginning, that trips was calling the shots. shawn was really slow, and it looked like hunter was having to slow down to accomodate.
