When you realize that the man that they WANT to be the number one face (Edge, not RVD, who IS) and the man that they WANT to be the number one heel (Brock, not Angle who IS) do you think the chances are high that we get Brock vs. Edge as the first in a series of terrible Brock title defenses? Actually, I think that Angle vs. Brock is more likely than Edge vs. Brock. And Edge is a pretty good wrestler. Other then the over-used spear, his repertoire is quite good.
